SayNoToDMC
Oh man, my sister had ferrets. That's a PERFECT hobo pet, unless you have a pigeon or something. I've got a squirrel for over the winter as my hobo pet and a beard going since about 4-5 days before the Colts game. My father said to me last Saturday morning "You might wanna put some pants on your brother is hanging out with a couple girls upstairs" to which I replied "Are you serious? I look like Grizzly Adams and have a ****ing squirrel perched on my shoulder right now, you think I'm worried about pants?"

My wife doesn't like mine... but apparently my beard, which I shaved off on January 1, is still a favorite topic of conversation amongst all the daycare mom's when they all go out to drink. I think having the other mom's flirt with me, and then gush over my sexy man-beast beard when they get a little soused has changed the wife's perspective a little. I decided to stop shaving during the week 1 preseason game... however, I may do an official shave and reset for the start of the regular season, so I can hit the beach the next few weeks without the beard... just hasn't quite cooled off enough for my taste. This thread is an year old, and—as I explained a year ago—the rally beard is a symbol for this being a "get pumped" thread. We're only a few short weeks from real football... eventually we've got to look past the stale arguments from March and look forward to taking this league by storm. I shaved on New Years Day, we had some unfortunate sh*t happen in our personal lives, and I just wasn't feeling it for a while, so on NYD I chopped it off. Season was over anyway, and it got so big I didn't know how to trim it right. LOL

It's like it was back in college... so, it's become a running joke for us... half the daycare mom's, the woman that runs the daycare, my wife's endocrinologist, the list goes on... it's hilarious, I'm in a hot streak, I guess. My wife gets a kick out of it. I will PM you the endocrinologist story one of these days... you'll appreciate that one the most.

LOL Yeah when it gets past a certain point you probably should get a shape up at a barber, but I use a straight razor to clean up the edges. some beard balm and a bristle brush will help you out when it looks unruly too, I usually just get all that stuff on amazon. good luck this year

I went skiing last weekend and didn't shave, and when I got home to watch the Jets/Bengals game I decided (influenced heavily by codeine and exuberance) that I would grow a RALLY BEARD just like the O-linemen. It helped that I have been sick, and working from home most days.... but I did have to meet with 2 clients this week, so I had to clean it up around the edges, but I'm psyched to go about 4 weeks without shaving. It was great telling my NE based clients that I am growing a playoff rally beard for my Jets. One of them was cool, he said he forgot what it was like when the fans cared that much about the Patriots... now they all just expect perfect seasons or the throw fits. At that point, I felt it was safe to point out that while the Jets are dreaming of the unlikeliest of SB runs... the Pats fans are whimpering about how the team won the AFC East and debating whether or not its a "rebuilding year" even though the team is in the playoffs!!!! WTF???? Personally, I believe completely that "rebuilding year" is revisionist history and front-office speak for a losing season. NOBODY comes into a season with intentions of NOT winning. Ask Jim Mora Jr. about rebuilding years. Anyway, back to the beard!!! I know players do it, I've never done it before... and I am realizing my beard hair is like blonde, red, brown and black!!!! WTF I must be some sort of Viking byproduct.
