I have too many douchebag employees at work BTW, Integrity voted AVM first, i was the second vote on AVM. JiF just got the order wrong. Stupid Jif . re: hess. was kind of doing the same but there's a lot of new players in this game and I was hoping to not press it further. Although, I think enough of a point has been made out of what he said, and most of us are seasoned enough to understand the implications of it that perhaps we should discuss While true that the game theme is tailor-made for Crusher, I don't think his game play thus far is different than the early days of games past. We try to see if a player is playing different than before in order to bolster our guess as to what role/townie/mafia the person is but with veterans I don't think someone like Crusher would commit an obvious tell. Mind you I posted 15 times yesterday which put me at more post than everyone but a couple. I just got on at lunch because I only had a few minutes this morning. True, but maybe Crusher is depressed about Rex's stomach band surgery. One less fat person makes the world less happy. As to Hess, I think he's being active because he's into the spirit of the game. There's different ways a newbie can play. I played it my first game (which i was a townie) to lay low and stay away from any fire (from town or mafia) so I can survive. Bleedin Green Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 Sorry for the absence earlier, but upon catching up here's what I've gathered. 1) A few questions about some of the newbs. While I understand them, as others have stated I prefer to give these guys a pass on day one in their first game. Once they get a feel for things and have their feet wet all bets are off, but for now I'm just paying attention but have no plans on making a move. 2) Crusher has become the hot topic of discussion. While I don't think he has an obvious tell, there's nothing as of yet that has me convinced he's scum based on my experiences with him as scum in the past. To an extent he was doing the "saying a lot without saying much" thing early on, but that's pretty common at the beginning, especially for a guy like Crush. 3) CTM is trying to make cases all over the place. Given that its only day one, I'd normally found this suspicious, but its CTM and he always does this regardless of what side he's on. I'm not a particular fan of the throwing crap at the wall and see what sticks strategy, but its not enough to convince me of scumminess in this instance. Its just something to keep an eye on, and not just regarding CTM, if we start finding ourselves getting to the point where we're getting bogged down with arguments about everyone and not resolving anything.
