Lady Gaga

I don't get her, she's not my thing but I don't really have any problem with her. She gives freaks someone to look up to instead of killing themselves or somebody else. The "Little Monsters" thing with the "paws up" is funny imo. She's good marketing (for the most part) is what i'm saying. Her music is dance music, if I liked dance music I would probably like her.

she has a really perfect voice for pop, but trying to out do the madonna shock/sex thing is just getting old and boring. It's like if you go to far, just do the porn already or dance like a normal human

Her new album is an earsore. :puke:

I saw her live last Summer, she is a amazing talent!! Believe it or not, she can play the piano as good as Elton John or Billy Joel. Freakshow? Maybe, but its making her more money than we will ever see.

She's a demonic freak show who covers herself in blood....while little impressionable girls look up to her. Very sad situation indeed. Who cares how much money she makes, does that impress you? ....and at what expense? I'm not picking on you, but she can make her money in a more respectable way IMHO.

I caught the HBO special last month (how could U miss it it was on every day) I was oddly entertained

strip away the weirdness, the outfits, the makeup, the awkward dancing, and that girl can sing her a$$ off.

She is actually like say probably 3-4 times more talented than Madonna was. I'll give her that. I wish she didn't go so porn b/c I kind of like her message. The music I guess I'm sorta indifferent. My wife and daughters like it.

I agree, the message in born this way is acceptance, but does she have to wear a skull mask and hump a dude ?

Why shouldn't I, she certainly does....as do many of her loyal fans.

Calling her a "demonic freak show"?. Ever hear of theatricality?

If you want to say she's not for kids, fine. But you're taking what she does to a level that isn't rational.

She does demonic things, so I call it like I see it. You can disguise what people do by hiding it under the label of "theater", but it STILL is what it is....regardless of the name you give it.

Look, the only thing I've seen are a few of her videos, including Bad Romance and orn This Way, and I don't see anything associated with demonic. No celebration of violence, etc.

We're thirty years past Billy Idol, who really did play up the demonic bit, and we're still supposed to be upset about Lady Gaga?

It's unfortunate she does the 'crazy' thing, but I don't blame her. LA has tons of talented people we'll never hear about. If you want to get noticed and you don't know anybody, you don't have many other options than meat clothing or wearing your underpants outside your clothes.

We just need to raise our kids to understand why they do it...and that it's a survival/marketing issue, not something you should emulate.

There's a tinge of irony in a guy being outraged by Lady Gaga, calling her a "demonic freak show" and bad role model, when his avatar celebrates no-holds-barred fighting and was the home of his favorite fighter, a man nicknamed "The Axe Murderer" who made his mark in the world by kneeing and stomping his (sometimes prone) opponents into a state of unconsciousness.
