It's like they expect us to watch and observe football. Diabolical.

(Chandler)'s a nice piece as long as he's the 7th most important player on your roster....I think they're going to be disappointed when they see he's just a pumped-up Drew Gooden.

They need Deoin Sanders back to make it interesting.

he Atlanta Falcons, who were exempted from being chosen if the NFL didn't find any volunteers because they had a playoff appearance over the last two seasons, stepped forward and will be the subject of the popular training camp reality show this summer. The eight teams who were not exempt and could have been chosen if nobody volunteered are probably thankful for the Falcons.

so how did cleveland get out of it exactly? i guess they were asked to volunteer, and they declined? previous article made it sound like they said "no way."

What, you mean you wouldn't have rather watched the soap opera that would have ensued if we got to see an entire summer of cameras following around Manziel?

By day he's the (not so) mild-mannered Bleedin Green, but by night...

TL;DR

Pettine said not in my 1st year as coach, too distracting, but said he would consider down the road..

my point is this article makes it sound like nfl could've forced them since no playoffs in last 2 yrs

They potentially could have, but Atlanta volunteered before it came to that.  That forcing thing only comes into play if absolutely no teams are willing to volunteer for the spot.

oh, NFL enforces only if someone doesnt 'step up',, so ya, in end, if no one stepped up, NFL could have forced Browns hand

Nothing will ever top the entertainment value of Hard Knocks 2010.  And I mean for all of television history.

Yeah. I am sure Peter King is fapping over the prospect of Dimitroff 24/7.

Something about being able to decline if you have a first year coach?

This.

Also, the Jets aren't in position to be forced, either, because they've been on the show in the last decade.
