I dont get the fact that as JETS fans..how we can not look at ourselves and stop worrying about the PASTS.  I hate them and most of their fans but...

In the last 10 years they have drafted better, prepared better and yes, been coached better than any JETS team.

Forget QB....  in almost all other areas of the game, each team has had almost 100 percent turnover since 2002.

Yet , they still have a top ranked defense, offense and special teams.

They consistently win 11 or more games and getting to the AFC Championship game is meaningless to them.

Until we fix our ship... what's the differecne who wins. It aint us and we aint close.

Wow, look how many Jets fans myths you just debunked:

1) BB doesn't know how to draft, Jets do it better.

2) BB doesn't know how to coach and prepare his team, it's all Brady.

3) Just getting to, and losing the AFCCG, is some sort of significant accomplishment. It's not.

Good post, but you will get slammed by your colleagues.

not worth it..

100% Brady..

belichick = losing record without Brady.... Only top player drafted recently is Gronk, and he can't stay on the field

Congrats Chan, that could be the dumbest post in JN's 10-year history.

which part is un true?

The fact that Belichick can't even make the playoffs with a 16-0 team when Brady goes down? Or that the Pats haven't drafted a stud in a long time, short of injury prone Gronk?

Hernandez was drafted the same year as Gronk and he has a problem staying on the field also..LOL To be fair Chandler Jones and a few others are pretty good players..

We drafted some pretty good players too recently. But the context was that the patriots are far superior to us in drafting, and I don't see it, not since Belicrap became GM. Swap Brady and Geno and records are nearly reversed.

"Belichick is above average as a head coach, but great? I'm not sure he's great. He's never been great without Tom Brady, and I'm positive Brady is great. The individual numbers don't lie; Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. And the greatest quarterbacks win huge. They win Super Bowls, or in the case of Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton they win a ton of games. Those are probably the three best quarterbacks in NFL history without a Super Bowl ring, but they were a combined 106 games over .500 in their career. Why? Because great quarterbacks win. And great coaches are damn lucky to have them." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/21905474/belichick-gets-credit-but-its-brady-who-keeps-patriots-winning

Brandy made Bellicheat. No question.

Of course, Belichick would be coordinating defensive backs in TN if not for Mo Lewis..

Imagine this, guy has a top 5 all time great on the bench, and sits him to play Drew Bledsoe coming off a 5-11 season and 77 Quarterback rating.. How ******* clueless can he be

And do you know that only two times in the history of the present playoff format  has a team with 11 wins not make the playoffs. And they lost  three of the starters in the secondary to FA, (Samuel, Gay and Wilson)  Bruschi was done and only played 1/2 the games and rodney Harrsion Retired at the end of the season after only playing 6 games.

BB did a great job that year.

No... The team went from 16-0 to 11-5 which is a 31.25% drop in wins.

And the ONLY reason they had 11 wins is because the AFC east played the AFC West and NFC West, 2 extremely bad divisions that had 1 team with a winning record between them, the 9-7 Arizona Cardinals.

The Pats missed the playoffs cause the entire division had a bloated win total against a weak schedyle and they were bested by the Miami dolphins who were waxed by Ravens once they got in the playoffs.

Finally there DVOA in 2007 was the highest ever, 52.9 second best was a massively distant 28.3. In 2008, with no Brady, it dropped to 13.1... lmao

Face it.. Belichick = career loser without Brady, 6 seasons and 1 playoff appearance There is nothing you can say to disprove that.

Rex > Belichick

Get ready for the anti-advanced metrics posts (people tend to fear or ignore things they don't understand).

THIS. Why does everyone assume the Jets will be good when the Pats become mediocre?

Maybe. But then, how did the Pats win with Cassel?

they didn't.. only year they missed the playoffs and didn't win the division in the last 10 was the year Brady got hurt... coming off a 16-0 season...

Belichick is a loser without Tom Brady

I stand corrected. I thought they had won the division with Cassel. Who won it that year?

The Patriots always draft at the very bottom of the 1st round. Jets usually draft towards the top. Belichick has had some misses but it's an exeggeration to say we haven't been drafting well at all. Wilfork, McCourty, Jones, Ridley, Hernandez, Gronk, Mayo, Mankins, Gostkowski, Volmer, Edelman, Spikes, etc etc etc

Wilfork was drafted in 2004. In ten years of drafting, over 70 picks and you name 12? +3 ect's? Patriots are horrible at drafting

I was  responding to a point stating the Pats are so much better drafting then the Jets. Clearly this is not true since BB took over both duties.  Naming a few good players starting with wilfork in the last 10 years doesn't disprove that
