In reality probably not to much as this guy is probably a replacement for Douzable or one of the other Dlineman.  But since the guy is in essence a 3-4 DE we can wildly speculate that the jets picked him up to go along with richardson and Williamson so they can trade wilk.

Then I apologize for saying it. Too often people are nasty for no reason...

He's being brought in to play the same position as Mo - D-line in a 3-4 (not NT)..considering we have two studs already there...and the way the Jets have been offering large contracts (although not signing any) with no money.  My assumption was this one the signing needed to be made before making the Mo trade.

Of course I could be wrong. I usually am!

There are still plenty of team with cap money left...and plenty that would want one of the best DT's in the league.

Just yesterday the Pats traded Chandler Jones for a 2nd rounder..I'm sure there's interest.

I knew Mo was the only 300 lb plus DE since Sapp to get a sack but I didn't realize he had enough mass to create fusion and release gamma rays upon implosion. Makes you think.

Following rumors of his signing last week that came from multiple sources repeatedly contradicting one another, the agents for defensive lineman Jarvis Jenkins confirmed today that he has in fact agreed to terms with the former Chicago Bear.

Jenkins, a Clemson product, has appeared in 59 career games (48 starts) for the bears along the defensive line where he registered 63 tackles and 6 sacks.

It seems like it's all done. Just have to make some room for him under the cap. Same for McClendon I think.

Not sure why Jets don't list him, but his agent announced the signing via twitter and he changed his twitter pic to a Jets logo while multiple outlets announced the signing as well.
