The Walrus
Agents say 5th worse, huh. It's like getting an opinion from death row inmates on which pen has the best chair. If he drives a hard bargain that's fine.
Jetster
This is a f*cking joke! Patriots as the one of the best to deal with? The only reason for that is because the Pats will trade your azz if they can in your contract year cause they sure as hell ain't paying up, lol. Because the Pats trade or cut you, it allows the agent to negotiate a better contract with another gullible team that thinks Patriot players are good AFTER they leave the Pats which is usually false. Why would ANYONE trust what an NFL agent says?

Of course it's not totally fair to play the draft hindsight game in round 5, except that was clearly the point UWF was trying to score before facepalming. #6 and #39 overall picks on safeties, lol. When we had no long term solutions at QB, EDGE, CB1, CB2, NB, LT... We double-dip on positions where you can find young starters in rounds 4-6. It wouldn't matter if they traded the pick for a bag of rusty nails or donated the pick to Goodwill. Acquiring Brandon Marshall and a 7th rounder for a 5th rounder was a great move! It could be interpreted a bunch of ways, but considering Maccagnan’s m.o. in free agency has been to sign veterans to relatively large deals that he almost immediately has to wriggle out of would suggest that agents think he’s a plain old dipsh*t with no plan. Lest we not forget that Kirk Cousins was making a reality show and still refused to so much as take the free steak dinner here.

Scott Dierking
My experience with agents is that they are one of the most self serving occupations in the world. With that thought, anything that they commit to opinion, is generally meant to serve their own interests. Thus, sprinkled with ingenious thought. Players sign with clubs based on: 1.$$$$ 2.Opportunity for more play time and exposure 3.Opportunity to be part of a winning organization 4.$$$$ The powerpoint presentation, facility tours and sprinkles on the cupcakes are far down the list.
