It'd be pretty cool to have a center and a long snapper that are brothers. Make it happen Tanny.

Tanny ??? Does that mean you are suggesting that Tanny was prone to emotional reactionary draft and FA selections ??? I  know he was too much of a push over for Rex who destroyed his own tenure with the Jets by horrendous roster management, but I don't think Tanny was the driving force.  He was just the weak willed fellow that let a child go to the candy store on his own...

I don't get the hate for Harrison. He performed alright. If they improve the line around him, I don't think replacing him is an absolute must. There should be competition, but look for the best lineman you can get and don't fall in love with trying to upgrade any particular position.

Exactly. Which is why drafting a guy in the middle rounds to challenge him makes perfect sense.

Harrison is a good player.  He did well at center.  I think Harrison can also be a fair guard too.  Not an ideal starter, but adequate for the interior of the line considering the Jets situation.  If they happen to draft a specialist for the center position, Harrison can move to guard.

No like if you've been on Jets message boards for 20 years, you would get the "Make it happen Tanny" reference.

Only issue can be that when 5 Olineman all seem to struggle with run blocking that includes the Center.

Wish I could find that SNL skit where John Lovitz is giving advice to Wayne Gretzky and says “why don’t you just get a midget with a big piece of particle board for a goalie?” That sounds like a pretty good option to replace most of our OL.

I found this bit weird:

Hennessy is still too small to be a center in the NFL. But he believes he has the skill-set to play guard — which he did for one game in college — and is confident he could fit into that role right away. That versatility should help his stock with several teams.

On what planet are Centers supposed to be bigger than Guards?

The Idzik/Macc double fisting of suck makes Tanny look like Ozzie Newsome.

Harrison is better served as a depth piece. The OL needs drastic upgrades at every position. And they can do it this year with cash and picks. The draft is deep enough to grab at least 3 OL and we can sign at least 2. It would instantly improve the offense and we’d even have excellent depth on the bench. Tired of having this mediocre line behind Sam. If it isn’t fixed, I guarantee Sam is outta here as soon as he can.

Overpay to sign Conklin, Thuney.  Resign Beachum

harrison wasn’t bad last year at C

I'll flip that.  Sign Vaitai for LT and either Thuney or Glasgow for OG.  Maybe grab a Tier 2 RT to compete with Edoga.  Then go into the Draft looking for a RT and Center, not a future LT to replace Beachum.

I want the Jets in a position to not reach for OT (the 4th or 5th OT) at #11 and to be able to grab the BOPATM which could and likely will be a WR.
