you and I normally agree... I don't here. A QB has a responsibility to remain healthy when possible. A few yards extra to be the next Chad Pennington worth it to you?

He's a big kid, he won't end up like a Pennington.  Josh Allen takes quite a few shots too and there's no signs his career will be significantly cut short.  Even Cam Newton, who took way more hits than even Allen, still played at a fairly high level in this league for nearly a decade because of his size.

Let him be him, otherwise he probably won't be super successful.

Sliding is not the be all end all.   Once you start to slide you give up o0cntorl of where you are going.

Should you be smarter about not bulldozing guys as a QB?  Yes but sliding being totally safe is not accurate either.
