We used to say this about the Pats every year and it never happened until Brady literally left the team.

Reid's teams are always like that. Barring a catastrophic rash of injuries I think they cruise to 12 wins and the #1 seed.

Their offensive weapons were pretty bad last year outside of a declining kelce. I think last year was supposed to be a down year and they won the sb. This KC team has the best HC and the best QB in the league. With that combo and a top 5-10 defense, KC will always be in the championship conversation.

They’re probably losing Rice for most of the season and they lost their CB1, who was an elite player.

Rice was a second round nobody. He wound up being quite productive but him producing is what Reid and Mahomes do with WRers in that offense. Hollywood brown is interesting even if he is more of a #2. Mahomes has proven that he’ll make what he has work in Reid’s scheme.

As of right now, who knows? That wasn’t exactly a wagon last year and they’re swapping out a bunch of key players going into next season. Granted Mahomes is worth 10 wins by himself, but they can be got. Even their playoff run—other than the beatdown they put on the Dolphins in -100 degrees- saw them win by 3, 7, and 3 points.

Do I have to say it- the last team to beat the Chiefs . The Raiders . Truth be told the Raiders should have beat the chiefs twice last year.       The Raiders were built to beat the Chiefs . Their defense kicked the chiefs arse and only going to get worse with addition of Dt’s C Wilkins .    Raiders have the better defense .  Chiefs couldn’t stop the Raiders rushing attack , it only gets better with Bowers and Mayer .   Not to mention return of their Lt K miller and addition of Lg Jackson Powers Johnson.

Pat Mahomes is already the goat.  No one would take prime tom brady over prime pat mahomes.  Its not close.

If Reid wins a 4th, we can start talking about him as the greatest ever.  Bellichek took a huge hit being awful w/o brady.

Brady has a  reputation as the best playoff QB ever.  And he certainly earned it.

In his 23-year  career he's been to the playoffs 20 times appearing in 48 games.  Overall he has racked up 13,400 yds and 88 TDs to 40 INTs with a rating of 89.8.

Mahomes, in his 7-year career has been to the playoffs 6 times for 18 games.  Overall he has racked up 5,134 yds and 41 TDs to 8 INTs with a rating of 105.8.

If Mahomes plays another 10 years and gets to the playoffs most of them, he will eclipse all of Brady's records.  Even if he doesn't I still think he is well on his way to earning GOAT status. 

Unless of course Rodgers puts two more rings on his fingers the next two years.  Then all bets are off

IMO, the Reid/Mahomes is already the GOAT.  Mahomes is also the goat.  Much as Brady has the rings I think Mahomes is way more capable as a qb and also has had to lift the play of the players around him.  And during his first few seasons the chiefs defense was nothing to write home about.  It’s only recently they’ve put a good defense on the field.  They’re winning without really replacing tyreek.
