Jetsfan80
One of the best (and saddest) moments of Hard Knocks thus far was Rex going into Revis's empty room during camp and saying "Revis, Revis?.....Oh do I wish. Come on home buddy". A cool, genuine moment for Rex. I have no doubt in my mind Rex engineered this.
DireJet38
Rex isn't stupid. Revis is da straw that stirs his defense. He knows where his bread is buttered.

Jetsfan80
Rex isn't stupid. Revis is da straw that stirs his defense. He knows where his bread is buttered. I'd say we were still going to be a top 5 defense without Revis, but you're right, Revis helps make Rex's D have the potential to be one of the greatest to ever take the field. They didn't do it at all during the pre-season but it makes no sense. I'm pretty sure its during the regular season.

I really dont know where Brady is going to throw the ball to.

stoicsentry
???? We have 1 #1 CB on the roster. This really says alot about Rex...all positive. I think he means Cro and Wilson being #1s. Interesting thought. I would think of them both as decent two's right now, but it's an interesting thought nonetheless...
SenorGato
Cromartie and Wilson are both #1 CBs on a lot of teams in this league. Cromartie really will be a beast in this D. Wilson has the signs of a good corner because he does the homework. I shoulda thought that ??? through.
stoicsentry
It woulda been really funny if Rex brought a few guys with him, say, Kris Jenkins, Nick Mangold and Shaun Ellis. Then ESPN could run with the "Did brash Rex send hit squad after all-world corner?" headlines.
THE ILK
It woulda been really funny if Rex brought a few guys with him, say, Kris Jenkins, Nick Mangold and Shaun Ellis. Then ESPN could run with the "Did brash Rex send hit squad after all-world corner?" headlines. Woody Johnson went with him, he also signs the check. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/darrelle-revis-agrees-to-new-york-jets-deal-090510 The 11th-hour agreement came to fruition after Jets coach Rex Ryan and owner Woody Johnson reportedly flew to South Florida on Sunday to meet with the team’s top defensive player and the NFL’s best shutdown cornerback. aec4
My only worry is we expet Wilson to play the slot. Because of this holdout he didn't play the slot in the preseason.
Smashmouth
Wilson gives Rex SO many options with his corners now. Dont be surprised to see Revis in the slot more this year especially on big 3rd and 5's . Some teams have their best WR's in the slot and they are extremly hard to shut down. With our Pressure defense the QB only has little time to get rid of the ball and Revis is a master in close.
