Geno Smith is not the answer, never was the answer, and never will be the answer. He is an immature jerk-off with a big arm and no OTHER skills. What would Geno have done? Probably crapped the bed as the QB of a 6-10 team. The bright side would have been a higher draft pick and another season of starting over. I say no way they should give Fitzchokerick a big deal but He would be light years better than friggin Geno"glass jaw" Smith. The bad thing is he knows it. I he still getting paid by the Rams?? If that's the case, we might just get him rather cheap? And really, truth be told, I believe probably anyone is better than Geno. I just do NOT trust him in any way, shape, or form. I also tend to think Fitz might just have to get his A$$ back to the negotiating table before the Jets sign Foles and move on altogether from Fitz. Its too risky for the Jets to have to count on Petty and Hackenberg for 2017. This is Geno's last year under contract. He is basically a one year back up, barring him winning the job. Foles would likely sign a contract for more in total than Fitz, but less in 2016. Petty could likely get waived and practice squaded. If he is claimed, that would be a wasted 4th round draft pick. Fitz is overplaying his hand and I hope ends up spending the season watching the Jets with Foles/Geno make it to the playoffs. He will regret for the rest of his life. Imo Foles will sign for more money than the Jets seem to have available under the cap. In an ideal world they would cut Smith and have Foles, but that is unrealistic, I think.
