Jets fan Gov. Chris Christie wants New Jersey, not New York, to host a parade for the Giants if they win the Super Bowl.

Loyalty, unlike the Garden State Parkway, is not a two-way street for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

The big Jets fan picked the Giants to lose on Christmas Eve against Gang Green — but now insists Big Blue should hold any Super Bowl parade in New Jersey, not New York.

“They play in New Jersey,” Christie said Wednesday on the “Today” show, stirring up an old debate.

“They train in New Jersey.”

Host Matt Lauer, referencing the team’s familiar “NY” logo, asked the governor, “What’s it say on their helmets?”

“That’s about it,” Christie replied.

Christie, perhaps channeling his inner Rex Ryan, called the Jets “the more consistent team this year” before their bitter loss to the Giants. He watched the defeat from Jets owner Woody Johnson’s box.

The Jets wound up missing the playoffs, while the Giants head to San Francisco this Sunday for the NFC Championship against the 49ers.

The Giants were honored on both sides of the Hudson River after their 2008 victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots.

After a parade along the famous lower Manhattan “Canyon Of Heroes,” the team was honored with a rally at the old Giants Stadium.

Back in 1987, after the Giants won their first Super Bowl, then-Mayor Ed Koch declared the city wouldn’t host a title parade because the team bolted the Bronx for New Jersey a decade earlier.

“If they want a ticker tape parade in New York City, they will have to play in New York City,” Koch said.

There was no parade after the team’s 1991 Super Bowl victory due to the Gulf War. And while Mayor Rudolph Giuliani had promised a parade in 2001, the Giants were whipped by the Baltimore Ravens, 35-7.

Warning: Politics kind of..........

Why would Christie want a parade in New Jersey? I'm no New Jersey native but it's pretty easy to get from New Jersey to Manhattan. The only group who would love a parade in New Jersey are the State Police. Can you say overtime pay?

If you know how Christie operates that's the last thing he wants to do.

I think the 450 lb. Christy would look good in a Jets uniform playing the O-line....I can see it now, oh wait he gets owned on every down, starts to cry like a little girl on the sidelines and tells Rex..."don't make me go out there again coach"...whah, whah.....as Sanchez is taken to the hospital with broken ribs, legs etc....

Oh yeah, because if there's one thing that's clearly an underhanded goal of his, it's making unions happy.

Guy is a fat politician getting fat on us...which equates to him being a parasite, check the news today (i.e. lobbyists). Truth is hard to take.

Nobody cares about New Jersey. One of the most embarrassing things EVER is having our stadium in that state.

This is great news. Please stay the hell out of our Ocean this summer. We could do without all the crowds.

Thanks so much.
