Also I have no idea what Belichick was thinking with letting Bradshaw score. Letting him score was fine, but why do you waste a timeout on first down and then let him walk in untouched on second? Makes no sense. Bradshaw is so bad with the ball security you have to just keep going after the ball with him. NE had no deep passing game anymore and to think 50 seconds gave them a chance is a dream. Thats a bad job. I think we can all agree that Eli belongs in that upper tier now. The SB is for people in your office that bought one box for $5, but "don't really have a team", kids, and your wife and all your friends wives. That's why Dungy and Harrison trivialize football 101 in the segments between the gameplay, saying things like "the defenses need to get to the QB" and "the QB has to avoid the pressure from the defenses" as if this hasn't been the defining premise of football strategy forever... and the rest of the pomp and circumstance tailor made for soccer moms.
