Holmes out weeks...Jets not sure what the problem is

Do you seriously not know the difference between a fumble and purposely flipping the ball in the air during a play?

Who friggin cares. If he held on that's great, if he didn't that sucks but either way the game is over and everything sucks

this is a scapegoat thread much like last year's Schotty threads. Yes these guys aren't great and sure we want Santonio to be tougher but there's a bigger problem.

Oooohhhh - we be hypothesizing up here in JN now? Go on!

As my cycloptic colleague pointed out, Holmes is clearly trying to make us lose games. There's just no way that any human being could have given up the ball on that play. All forms of pain are mutual and all situations in games can be equated across the same narrow spectrum. Thus, the only logical explanation is that Holmes, and his agenda for costing the team games and being a quitter, purposefully gave the ball up to the defender.

or he just wanted to rub his boo boo and didn't give a sh-t about the ball.

I don't think Holmes intentionally fumbled TO the Niners, but I do think he mighta tossed it a wee bit early. I'm no pain specialist, so I can't say just how bad he was/is hurt, but c'mon Bro, this is big boy football.

The bottom line is the guy just didnt think, hes a stupid prick. He was laying on the ground with the ball cradled to his chest, he paused a second and just flipped the ball. Did he have to flip the ball ? could he not just lay it on the ground or let it roll off him ? It seemed to me it was like a "**** this" type of move like we're getting killed anyhow why should I actully "THINK" for once in my life.

when Holmes so readily flung the ball into air I couldn't help but think of Wayne Chrebet who somehow managed to maintain control of the ball while suffering his 20th (or however many) concussion.

Chrebet and Cotch hang onto that ball.

Just sayin'.

I coined the term "Holmesian" after that play. Absolutely no regard or concern for winning.

I realize the usual suspects enjoy sticking up for losers for reasons I wont get into but hold on to the football. Dont act like you got shot. The last time I even remember anything like that happening was when Fred Taylors groin ripped in like 9 places...and he even took sh*t for that. Holmes hurts his foot and grabs his knee. Get lost.

if Sanchez did that there would be 900000 meme threads of them making recycled jokes from ebaums world.

definitely looks like a strained vag to me.

Fred Taylor immediately grabbed his groin when it tore with his hand that was carrying the ball. Serious injury. Holmes drops to the ground like he got shot and throws the football in the air and grabs a body part he didnt even injure.
