it's time for Woody to sell

He's proven his point- he's bought a business, doubled its value and he's not just a member of the lucky sperm club anymore. However he's got no idea what he's doing as a football executive and we are all paying for it with our time and some of us are paying a lot of money.

He caught lightning with what Mangini put in place for him five years ago, and now he's running this team into the ground with his ignorance. All woody cares about is headlines. He doesn't care if this team wins or loses.

No serious, proven leader will come here with this setup. Woody needs to sell. This team will never be good with Woody in charge.

He's the owner of a football team that "doubled" it's value. How does he not have an idea what he's doing?

All he cares about is publicity, marketing, and trying to sell tickets. He trots Rex Ryan out like a $3 million PR guy who keeps them in the headlines, irregardless if it's for winning or if it's because Rex said/did something absurd. The team is a shambles. You think he has a plan?

As much as we'd all like to see it, he'd be crazy to sell. Owning an NFL franchise is like having a license to print currency.

The best we can hope for is a thorough, roto-rooter style house cleaning, an apology to the fanbase for creating this circus by retaining Wrecks and forcing him on a new GM, and hiring a football guy to run the whole operation and keeping a hands-off approach. Personally, I'd either give Harbaugh full control, or go crawling back to Tom Gamble and beg him to reconsider taking the job - this time without the Rex stipulation.

That will never happen though, because woody has no idea what the **** he is doing besides mass marketing.

Owners have one interest. Profit. One way of doing that is by winning of course. He's spent down to the last dime available in FAs every ur except 2014, so spending money is certainly not an issue for him. His job is to find a GM n let him be the manager (you know, General Manager). Everyone was licking Idziks balls last ur in January. No one seemed to have an issue then. Why now? We just completed the toughest part of our schedule where no one expected to be better than 2-5 (which we can reach if we can beat the Pats). We will have about $50mil in cap space next yr. plenty to sign draft picks n pick up 4-5 solid starters in FA.

We were going to be an 8-8 team at best this ur so it made no sense to use up the entire cap

He should sell it to Trump or Cuban or Prokhorov

No way TRUMP will ever be accepted into the NFL fraternity. Pipe dream. Trump just loves to see his

name in the headlines. (Running for President- pleaaasse no.)

Except when they tear down his Atlantic City Casinos one by one.

The owners will never forget the USFL days in the 1980's when Trump and his merry men tried to grab a

piece of the pro football pie.

If in fact the Jets did double in value it had little to nothing to do with Woody Johnson. Popularity of the sport and the NY market is what made that happen. Also if the Idiot would have given this team its own Identity by building a state of the art football stadium for The JETS ONLY like the Cowboys did the value would have been much greater. Woody Johnson is an Idiot. I don't think he has too much to say about football decisions (like some on this site believe) but the guys he hires are in the Idiot mode just like him.

If not knowing what you're doing can get him a 700 mil profit on an investment is so easy, why don't you buy the team?

And explain how doubling your money on an investment and being the owner who has had the most successful run in franchise history outside of one season translates into not knowing what you're doing.

HEY BILLIONAIRE, SELL YOUR BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS RIGHT AWAY

what a joke. it's not on Woody.

Its absolutely on Woody. Only a moron fires the GM, keeps the HC, and tries to hire a new HC with the condition that the moron HC is a part of the deal, showing yourself to be a meddling little sh!t owner that knows nothing about football, getting crap candidates of which Idzik was the best!

He should definitely sell this team it is obvious he doesn't care about winning at all. He has to be one of the worst owners in the NFL right now.

He should sell it to Trump or Cuban or Prokhorov. To an owner who cares about winning and getting a super bowl championship someday. Sell the team!

He should sell to Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

his problem is taking a corporate approach to finding his leadership

you can't hire a search firm to find a GM.  You have to use the network of football guys.

and when you hire one of those creatures, you let him run it his way.  you let him hire his guys
