Hopkins and Robby are a perfect combo. or pretty close to it. Douglas isn't working for minimum wage. If he didn't know, he was derelict in his duties. I don't see how anybody could see it otherwise.

Remember all offseason and regular season when Gase was the savior? He’s the QB whisperer who brings a level of discipline. All those rumors of players hating him in Miami were false, and players on the Jets who already hate him are garbage anyway so who cares? Plus it’s not Gase’s fault that he’s the exact same trash as he was in Miami, it’s the ghost of GMs past!!!!!!!

We all hated Macc so much that when Gase ousted him we all cheered; completely forgoing just how unprofessional it was. He comes off as untrustworthy, and people around the NFL know to steer clear. 

NFL players talk. Coaches talk. GMs talk. This isn’t the 1960s. They’re all friends with each other, or at the very least, are connected with each other through various social platforms. They talk to their agents and the agents are friends with each other. Guess what they’re saying.

Adam Gase is a non-starter for players in this league not tied to the 2013 broncos. He’s a cancer far worse than Rex or Bowles, and he’s going to make JD’s life impossible.

Nothing this year - from the sh*t season - to the terrible OL - to the rash of injuries - to Sam underperforming on big stages - to players turning on Gase - to FAs not wanting to come here —- none of it is surprising. We knew what we were getting in Gase, and we did it anyway. Because: Johnson & Johnson. 

We finally got lucky after all these years when an 812 super-engine was sitting on the ground just waiting to be picked up. The Jets picked it up, and instead of building a race car around it and handing the keys to an Earnhardt, we bought cheap car kits and have our 12 year old step-son building it and driving it in the Walmart parking lot.

What deal was signed yesterday that you looked at and said, “that contract should be our contract”? The $8 mil per that the Texans gave Randall Cobb? Is that what’s stressing you out? Marcus Mariota? Again: a bunch of really good teams let players leave and a bunch of bad teams overpaid those players. The Ravens looked at the free agent landscape and made a few trades instead. The Niners, Pats, Chiefs, and Titans shed contracts of decent—but non-essential—players and didn’t blink an eye. But you’re mad because the Lions and Dolphins and Broncos played themselves for a few ok players? As for Gase, the guy most of you wanted instead of him was Mike McCarthy—what great new players did he attract to the Cowboys? He seduced Amari Cooper with a QB contract? Dak Prescott is going to get $35mm per year because he loves Mike McCarthy so much? Please.

I was tied up in knots the moment Gase was linked to the Jets. Was proven right as soon as we went 1-7. Ended the year 7-9 against sh*t opponents and your looney toon brain processes this as a win.
