But obviously the Panthers and Rhule in particular thought Darnold would be an upgrade worthy of the draft pick compensation sent to the Jets. It was a miscalculation to be sure. But that's the going price when teams know the impact of having a Top 10 QB vs a Bottom 10. They took a swing and missed. And, it's becoming truly amazing just how much Draft capital has been spent on Sam Darnold by NFL teams now. The Jets trade up with the Colts to get to #3, the Panthers trading valuable picks.
