Not written in stone, but so reported. No real surprise, his act wears thin in the NFL.

I will believe it when he signs his name to that contract. His brother John has a ring , and I can't see him leaving until he has one. I expect him to be the next Raider coach.( he's under contract with the 49ers and can't discuss another NFL team or it's tampering). The last time he was going to sign with Michigan too, and he ended up with the 49ers.

Jim Harbaugh people know what they are doing.

Bradway still with the Jets. Tannenbaum was just hired by Dolphins . Mangini is the Te coach for 49ers( Harbaugh hired).

You guys need to understand Harbaugh is NOT getting fired, 49ers will not release him without draft pick compensation, and Harbaugh won't coach next year in the NFL if traded, so the only way Harbaugh coaches anywhere next year is College, or he changes his mind (highly unlikely), and accepts a trade to another NFL team.

No you need to understand- everyone in the NFL knows Jim Harbaugh won't be back with the 49ers.( too toxic the situation between Harbaugh and Owner and General manager- you saw what happened on the field this year, when all parties aren't working together.

Now the only thing the 49ers could do is bring back Harbaugh to coach the 2015 season. They can't trade a head coach without his permission( why the Browbs trade wasn't completed- when both parties agreed to compensation last year)

Again everyone knows Harbaugh done with the 49ers( they have made it known for weeks already). that's why the 49ers are inviting Michigan to interview this weekend. They are hoping he takes that college job so he doesn't take the cross town Rivals ( Raiders) head coaching job when they fire him, and he will leave the NFL.

Harbaugh can only discuss the Michigan job or it's tampering. He will use the Michigan offer to get the best deal from the Raiders. Jim Harbaugh will be the next coach of the Raiders.( Raiders are prepared to make him the highest paid coach- when he's fired will match any Michigan offer.( can't discuss anything till 49ers fire him)

Let's see if that's the case. Again Harbaugh's no dope, He isn't going to sign anything with Michigan till his people talk to the Raiders.( can't happen till 49ers fire him) Harbaugh has never coached outside of California( fact). His wife likes the Bay Area , and if he takes Raiders job stays in the house he's living in now. YOU THINK Harbaugh wants to go to high school kids house to convince the Parents they should come to play at Michigan. Or deal with the Alumni.

My position I expect to hear all these reports he close to signing with Michigan.( all a ploy to get the 49ers to move on, and to set his asking price for the Raiders). MARK Davis will match any offer from Michigan to Harbaugh.

After Harbaugh becomes Raiders next coach you could see a mini reunion in Oakland. Mike Iupati, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, and maybe Vernon Davis all won't be back with the 49ers.

Raiders: he loves Michigan. He isn't setting them up. If be weren't going there, he would have told them. Not to mention, the man has been to three NFC champ games in his first three years, including a super bowl appearance. He doesn't need Michigan to increase his asking price. Half the league would probably fire their coaches if they were assured of Harbaugh. To go along with the already soon to be openings. why exactly does he need Michigan for leverage?

That's not who he is. He is not going to screw over Michigan. The fact that Michigan doesn't have a coach right now says all you need to know about the situation. He would have told them that he was staying in the NFL long ago.

He doesn't need Michigan as leverage. He made $5M as a brand new NFL coach. With teams like Oakland, Miami, Chicago, New York, and probably more fighting for him, he could easily make $8M a year in a league where the coach doesn't count against the salary cap. Miami is only keeping their coach because their owner, who happens to love Harbaugh, and happens to be Michigans biggest donor, knows that Harbaugh is not coaching in the NFL next year. And Ross would pay $8M in a heartbeat. A heartbeat. The guy donates hundreds of millions of dollars a year. $8M is a drop in the bucket.

The Div. 1 playoff changes everything. Over the next 2 weeks college football is about to become the number 2 sport in America and Michigan can be in the mix by winning the Big 10 every few years. OSU/Michigan is go9ing to be a top-rated event every season from now on. College football is perfect for Harbaugh, he did well at Stanford, Michigan is his alma mater, they're paying him gobs of money and probably more with endorsements and radio and TV shows. He can be as big as Saban and Urban Meyer. And he can yell at kids for 4 years and then get a new crop to yell at every season.

If he does go to the Raiders what is the chance of winning a Super Bowl with the Raiders. I say slim. Go with Michigan and get paid and go against Urban Meyer every year s worth more than coaching the Raiders.
