The Good:

Geno is 15/20 with a TD, and not because he's just dinking an dumping. Two of the 5 incomplete passes were receiver drops. Two more were purposeful throws OOB. Most of the throws aren't just complete like his completions last year that were often behind the receiver; these are almost all right on the money. And they're downfield throws, with authority.

Pass blocking has been very good, and when there's been a breakdown Smith has made it look effortless to elude the pass rush (as opposed to someone we used to know who'd just take the sack).

CJ is providing Geno with a weapon of an emergency outlet instead of a sack or forcing a pick downfield when it isn't there.

Ground game (RBs 4.5 ypc and not because of one long run bringing an otherwise lowly average up).

Defense: all they've given up are dumpoffs and the one TD was only because of a blatant key hold that wasn't called.

The bad:

Smith may be mostly good, but the 3 bad plays were brutal. Yeah it was a great diving catch by Woodson, and one could argue Decker could/should have bailed Geno out on it instead of waiting for the pass to come to him, but Woodson clearly read Geno's eyes (which didn't deviate since taking the snap). The fumble never should have happened if he was protecting himself the way a starting QB should be: dive feet first; this isn't the last drive of a playoff game. And the overthrow to Cumberland looked like it would have been 6.

Salas should have had that long pass.

Penalties, penalties, penalties. Seriously, it's awful.

Playcalling close to the goal line.
