You're right in that Jimmy hasn't proven himself but so far he has shown he can efficiently run their offense. Credit goes to their CS and to him. Not every Qb who sits out a year is going to play that good so fast. But Brady is still the man there.

Actually, this is his 3rd year. But he is playing well.

Hmm. a QB drafted at the end of the 2nd; who would do that?

I remember like a 100 years ago, Dan Marino was out a year with the ruptured achilles tendon. The other guy won a bunch of gams for them. Then Marino came back (played for another 5+ years or so), but the fans were like, let's trade Marino and 'boo'd him when he struggled. The backup went someplace else and never did a thing. It goes to show you, that a player is sometimes a product of the system and that fans can be very stupid.

Wasn't that Scott Mitchell?  Signed for big money up in Detroit.

That's funny. A lot of people don't remember this but the week of the 2015 Super Bowl Kraft was interviewed and basically said that Brady was a great guy and like a son to him. And that he had been willing to take one for the team by signing a contract that gave the team more cap flexibility and Brady less money. And then he said about this guy he spoke of as like his own son that if he hadn't agreed to this deal they might not have been able to sign him. Which was a very nice way of saying they might have gotten rid of him.

It's a business.  Bledsoe is STILL like a son to RKK.  Always welcome in the owners box and home.  Just been replaced on the field.  It's going to happen to Brady eventually.  It happened to Montana.
