Definitely. The safeties are hopefully solid, but can definitely be improved upon. LB has question marks. DL has some young talent, but we don't know what Jermaine is yet and its now or never for Quinnen.

I'm ok with the interior of the OL, but the tackles could be a major question mark going into next off season. I like the tight ends on the roster, but I wouldn't pass on Mayer from Notre Dame if he was available. I'm excited about the RB and WR rooms. I'm not derailing this thread with a discussion of the other position I haven't mentioned.

Mayer is a beast

This is not an original opinion by any means, but each year the gap widens between the top few programs and the rest of college football and it really is not great for the sport .

Oregon might not be very good ultimately, but #11 vs #3 used to be reason to get excited and tune in.  Now these types of games are just blood baths and not entertaining for those without particular rooting interest in those teams.

Now, for those type of competitive, back and forth, glorious type football games you have to tune in to games that ultimately have zero implications on anything.

Thought the same thing.  UG lost most of its D to the NFL including 5 1st rd picks and they completely disrespected Oregon like they were a double directional warmup game.   At this point it’s the SEC, Ohio state, USC, and everyone else is the JV.

AR 15 **** all you pussy ass mother ****ers yewwwwwww!!!!!’

hahahaha I was a about 10 bourbons deep when I sent this, lmfao, but man was I pumped!  What a game, the Gators didnt win a single close game last year, they're we like 0-6 in 1 score games, for Napier to get that one in his debut, was really special.  That dude had to be up all night in marvel at what he has at QB.  And if I'm not mistaken, they were the only upset on that entire day in college Football?   Trying not to get too excited but this kid, oh my

@maury77  @Mogglez  I know we talked about it so figured I'd tag you both, dude put it all on tape last night, straight beast on 3rd they were 7 of 12 and 2 of them were set up plays to make it 4th and short, which they picked up both.  Going to be fun prospect porn to follow here.

Yeah man, I was gonna tag you in a reply last night, but was at a wedding, lol.  I won’t lie; he looked absolutely unstoppable (I was basically watching the game via highlights at my table, lmfao).  I know it’s week 1, but If Richardson keeps this up, he’s going to run away with the Heisman.  Definitely see Cam Newton in him.

I wanted to send you this because, while Richardson NEEDS to see the easy passes develop and take advantage of them when he gets to the pros, the “freak” in him allows him to compensate.

Lol, hopefully that position that shall not be named isn’t a problem, but yeah, it will trump everything should things go south.

I’m in full agreement.  As of today, I think LB or T would be my choice, but a lot of that is going to depend on Fant, since Duane Brown is here for at least 2 years, and Kwon Alexander, since I think a room of him, Mosley, and Quincy, is actually pretty damn solid.  If we’re in that 13-20 range when we pick, I could probably live with a FS.

Not making any UF jokes here, but in what little I’ve seen of Richardson, he looks like a see it-throw it guy, and those dudes can’t play in the NFL. Even in those highlights, he holds the ball, moves around, and whips it to a guy running open dead in front of him. Is this a concern or was it just this game?

That's fair, but the guy has attempted less than 100 throws in college I believe. If he comes out this year he is going to have to sit a season in the NFL before he gets thrown to the wolves.

Yeah, that clip I posted above is a big catch-22.  His freakish talent helps him get the first, but he misses a wide open guy underneath and doesn’t make the throw.  That said, some of the throws he made in the game are legit NFL throws that I don’t think he makes cleanly last year.  I agree with @maury77, he should probably stay another year, or sit in the NFL.

Small sample size but not from what I’ve seen.  You can see the anticipation throws he hits, ball in the air before WR is open, one of them was 3rd and 17, ball is out delivered perfectly before the WR cleared the defender.    He’s still a baby, I’m not saying he’s perfect but the small sample size his biggest concern IMO is his deep ball.  He can throw it a mile but I haven’t seen one well placed.

He missed one shallow crosser early, but there was also a little pressure in his face so it’s possible he didn’t see it.  It’s was his first ever start.  I think it’s ok considering everything else he show cased.  Lol
