AVT and Duane

Didn’t get to watch the game - only listened sparingly.  How did AVT do at RT?  how did Duane do in his first action?

I think most of the pressure came from the middle of the line or from backs missing assignments.

And considering how well we did in the ground game, I think they played well and it wouldn't surprise me if they were the two tackles from here on out.

It certainly could be.  Are both Fant and Mitchell done for the entire season or could one of them return?

Both could return but no one has said much in the way of details.  I think the general speculation is that both will be back at some point. But who knows?

I saw Tomlinson give up a sack & miss a block against the run.

He’s been our clear #1 weakness, which is shocking since he was a pro bowler last year but becoming obvious.  JD could not have foreseen this and I predict he’ll be benched at some point for Herbig once AVT is able to move back to RG.

One of the reasons it’s so important to build thru the draft.

So far Tomlinson has been a big disappointment

If AVT is not first or second team all pro there should be an investigation. No matter where they put him he excels.

Brown was good despite playing with a torn rotator cuff. Last year or 2020 he would have been IR’d for the year.

Amazing what winning does

Neither were noticeable and for an OLineman that is the best compliment.
Brown is recovering from a serious shoulder issue because he's wearing
a massive harness.  And Vera-Tucker is just a freak to move from RG to
LT to RT in a matter of three weeks is not normal.  Damien Woody has
said going from one side to the other is like trying to write with your
opposite hand

They did fine but we still need to draft at least 2 tackles next year.

We should be okay at tackle and we will likely be drafting too far down to draft a LT. I think we are better off drafting a C and G - Brown/Fant at LT, AVT or Draft pick, Draft pick, AVT or Draft pick, Max/Fant. It was the middle that was more suspect today, need a real C and a LG.

Have you heard of Max Mitchell?  He plays for the NY Jets.  They drafted him.  He was starting at RT prior to injury.

Sure you havent heard of him?
