If you had any common sense, you’d know that the QB doesn’t have a mouth time and he can’t be protected beyond 4 seconds, so why run around like a hooker trying to find a guy on third down and then take a stupid ass sack, pushing you out of FG range?

Come again?

are you saying future hall of famed and Jet legend Nick Mangold is wrong?

Did you miss the part where I mentioned Zach doesn’t have a lot of time? Or shall I write it again? We all know how much time Zach has, except Zachary the MILF hunter himself.

Ridiulous!!!!!     The fact is the line is the most embarrassing in football.  They cannot pass protect or run block but they make up for it by routinely taking stupid penalties because they can't line up, not move until ball is snapped  and not illegally shift.

When you put a QB like Zach behind that, you get what you saw.

Should you expect stellar QB play in the middle of that chaos?  Consider the struggles of Mahomes, Allen, Hurt and Hebert, behind stellar protection, against our defensive line? Quality QB play occurs behind solid protection.  Cut the 2.5 second baloney.  How many top QB's wait for their receiver to come all the way across the field or 35 yards down the field?

Put a decent line in front of Zach and you'd get much better QB who needs more time in his reads and still misses open receivers.  He has a long way to go but is getting better.  The speed of his improvement is retarded by the miserable line play.

Zachs average time to throw yesterday was 3.7 seconds which is well above what’s needed. We’re there a few quick sacks on the OL sure there were, but that is only half of them. The offense as a whole is in shambles. QB, WR, OL, OC

I didn't know this was a thing.

Alot of us who have watched football as long as Zach has been alive have internalized that clock

Interestingly cimini just said Zach was averaging 2.54 seconds time to throw in the first half last night which would have been the best of the season for him had he maintained it for a whole game

But average isn't a real useful stat in football. Besides Zach, The line was also terrible. Both of these things were true and both are Joe Douglas creations

He's taken 97 sacks in 30 games.  We gonna blame the OL for 3 years worth of sacks?

His sack rate in 2021-22 was 9.6 %.  The Mike White/Joe Flacco/Josh Johnson trio's sack rate was 5 % in that span.  I imagine even this year a non-Zach QB's sack rate would be about 6 % while Zach's has cleared 10 %.

The OL isn't good.  Zach still holds the ball way too long.  He's t-8th in the league in time to throw (2.94 sec).

But sure.  Keep making lame excuses and neg repping people.  You're doing great here.

Crazy if true.  That is an eternity in the NFL.

To be fair, his pocket time dropped to 2.0 sec on the season.  Last week he was at 2.1 and t-15th.  Before that he was in the top 10 in pocket time.  So the pocket IS indeed collapsing quicker than it was earlier in the season.

But we also saw him getting plenty of time the first 5-6 games of the season and still not doing anything positive minus 2 possessions of the KC game.  So how can anyone say the OL is the biggest problem with this offense?  He sucks even when he gets elite protection.

His TTT, pocket time, and associated stats all changed for the positive when the Chargers went into the prevent for the last eight minutes. He had 70 yards and a bunch of easy completions after the Chargers went up 14

Not true, Zach Rosenblatt posted that his average time to throw was 2.71, not 3.7.  When under pressure, and therefore sometimes scrambling to buy time, it was 3.37. Both are still too high
