JetNation
Getting another one of their own locked up before the start of free agency, the Jets have agreed to terms on a 1-year contract with restricted free agent tight end Kenny Yeboah. TE Kenny Yeboah, a restricted free agent, is going back to the Jets on a one-year deal, per source. #frenzy@nflnetwork @NFLonFOX — Peter Schrager (@PSchrags) March 11, 2024 An undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss, Yeboah will be entering his fourth pro season. He has seen little action since signing with the Jets at the conclusion of the 2020 college season but was always viewed as a longshot developmental player. Having parted ways with fellow tight end CJ Uzomah just a few days ago, this may mean a bump up the depth chart for Yeboah or just a shot to make the roster if Gang Green adds another tight end through free agency or the draft. Popular Post mrcoops
I'm good with Yeboah coming back, as the probable #3 behind Conklin and Ruckert. Ruckert needs to play more as the #2, while Yeboah is a special teams asset and a solid blocker. He can catch, but hasn't been called upon to do it much as a pro. With Conklin, Ruckert and Yeboah and with Kuntz as a possible #4 or PS player, I doubt the Jets do much more at TE this offseason. It's not an elite group, but it's good enough to get by. Unless something crazy happens - like the Jets trading down and then finding Brock Bowers sitting there with all the OTs gone - then I think the Jets already have their TE room for 2024.
ScouserJet
A good move for me. Solid backup, a good pickup from undrafted class a few years back. No risk for us.
joewilly12
So we still need a TE

CTJetsFan
I believe he is a core special teams player too. That's what you need from a player who is 3rd on the depth chart at his position.
Integrity28
The Jets use about 50% of their roster on developmental players and give them 4-5 years to “show flashes”.

Beerfish
Not a game changer but a player that has showed improvement in his game each year imo. Good signing.
The Crusher
Gonna see a lot of this signing depth picks that will mean very little for the over all talent of the team. I almost think it's the better thing for Joe to do. Because when he really pays guys it typically doesn't pan out.
