Another JD Misstep!

The NY Jets failed to re-sign Quinton Jefferson due to their own incompetence

We signed Solomon Thomas and Kinlaw.

If JD had signed a third DT before getting the OT or WR, this place would have melted down.

More DL on the way though… Clowney is coming in tomorrow for a meeting. 😇

I could start a thread and say the exact opposite, how NOT signing Jefferson, allowed us to sign Tyron Smith. But I won't. At least not yet 🤣

I will let you dwell in your misery.

So you would have felt better if they just came out and said they didn’t want him at that price or had to clear room Tyrone Smith? And Mike Williams or another WR

He is a player that over performed his contract last year and was good and should have been (resigned, re-signed) very quickly at that price.

Quinton Jefferson,  6 sacks in 469 snaps

Quinnen Williams, 5.5 sacks in 794 snaps

Solomon Thomas, 5 sacks in 484 snaps

Been a hard week for the JetNation  trolls

Really! You think I’m a troll. I liked QJ and the way he took on blockers & was strong as a bull.

Defenitely played above his contract among a team that had many overpriced mediocrity.

Losing Huff for nothing was pretty stupid.

Seeing what some of the wr trades cost and us not being in on them was also dumb imo

Drafting McDonald last year was dumb since he mostly warmed the bench

Not having a legitimate back up qb

Drafting that fat soft pos Becton over wirfs was monumentally dumb

Drafting Zach Wilson

Hiring robert Saleh

Signing laken Tomlinson

Going into the season relying on Duane brown to play

Signing lazard and Randall Cobb

That's just a few quick off the top of my head

Everyone here was for hiring Saleh.  Now they want him fired because he couldnt win with ZW, another screw up for JD even though pretty much everyone had him 2nd to TL.   He also had a 1st year roster that was gutted in order to rebuild.  But hey, everyone wanted JD too.

Every move that doesn’t work out wasn’t a bad move.  There isn’t a GM anywhere, ever who doesn’t have misses on his resume.  Lots don’t have Qwincy, Reed, Breece, Sauce, GW, JJ, etc on their resume.  And after the fact it’s easy to complain.  No one knew LT would give it all up, that Huff would go from a high of 5 sacks over his career to 10.   Sometimes you screw up, they all do, sometimes shlt happens and we dont have to blame someone outside of the players themselves.

Signing Cobb was a screw up how?
