My apologies to the mods and JN as a whole

Pretty Hysterical as I come to make a formal apology, the first post I see is from Mevis Slouch. lol (wonderful)

Anyway, while biting my tongue til it bleeds on that one, I'd like to apologize to Max, BP, and the rest. I'd also like to apologize to some of the posters for the mud-slinging.

I stand by my position 100% that the venom toward Revis is crazy and that I, personally, look forward to a decade of Pro-bowl caliber play out of him. I also believe that off-the-field matters such as DUI's, weed smoking, and even crossing picket lines are not my concern; I have no time to police the entire league (there are exceptions such as murder, rape, child porn and dog-fighting...). So, at this point, 4-1, with everyone signed and happy, I'm behind all 52 guys.

WITH THAT SAID, it's not my place to tell someone else who to root for, and it also isn't beneath me to rip each and every player for f&%king up. If Folk had missed a couple of those last night, I would've been all over him. I wrote an article bashing Sanchez for playing with stink bombs and then coming out looking like crap week one. This is the sh*t we talk about here.

I was disappointed at the hatred for Revis after a good MN win for us, that's all. Obviously, I'm in the minority with that opinion, and I should've just let sleeping dogs lie (or in Vick's case...dead dogs. j/k)

As I've said many times, I've spent the entire new millennium on forums like this and its predecessors. It definitely enhances the experience to cheer for the team, not only with your friends and family, but with loyal and knowledgeable Jet fans from all over the world. After ten long seasons on these boards and about thirty-two in real life, I feel like we got something special going on here, and I'd hate to not enjoy it with everyone because of Darrelle Revis' contract.

I'm sure I'll say plenty of things that people don't agree with, but Max, I'm not trying to litter the board or be a troll; I'm just rooting for our team, like I always have.

So, anyway, that's all. I'd love to be able to just disappear forever, as many have suggested, but.........I can't, especially not now! (I'm also not gonna make a fake account or something. That's pussy sh*t. lol I'd like to bury the hatchet and continue our march to destiny.

REX RYAN IS A HATER!!!

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Darrelle Revis' balky left hamstring is acting up again.

The New York Jets cornerback said his leg was "very sore" after the team's victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night. Coach Rex Ryan was not sure Tuesday if Revis will play against Denver on Sunday.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan speaking with the media about playing Darrelle Revis too soon after injury and if Revis told him about the hamstring soreness.

"There was added swelling in his leg," Ryan said, "but hopefully he'll be ready to roll."

Revis returned Monday night after missing two games with a strained hamstring, sustained in the first half of the Jets' 28-14 win over the New England Patriots in Week 2. He said after New York's 29-20 victory over Minnesota that the hamstring bothered him throughout the game.

Revis said he began to feel his hamstring in the first quarter, and it got more painful as the game went on, although he didn't feel any tweaks or strains, just soreness.

"It was hurting throughout the game and I just fought through it and made it though the game," Revis said.

Ryan said he was unaware of that.

"I thought just the opposite," Ryan said. "I thought about challenging him more. I never saw it."

Ryan added that he hadn't spoken to Revis as of early Tuesday afternoon. He also said the team would not rest Revis this week against Denver just because the bye is the following week, giving the cornerback more time to recover.

"If he's healthy, we want to play Darrelle," Ryan said. "It's not vacation time. It's time to beat somebody. This is an AFC opponent and we need to win games so we can get into the postseason. That would be my thought. Is he going to be better three weeks from now if we don't play him or all that? I think that still has to be determined."

Ryan insisted that the team did not rush Revis back, and said the wet conditions during the game played no factor in the decision to let him play.

"We wouldn't have put him out there if we didn't think he was healthy," Ryan said. "We thought he was healthy, ready to play. I think he felt he was healthy, ready to play."

Revis was not up to his best against the Vikings, as the Jets used Antonio Cromartie on Randy Moss. Meanwhile, Revis mostly defended Percy Harvin and Greg Lewis in what Ryan called a "decent football game" by his star player.

"For the standards of Darrelle Revis, let's face it, we expect him to go out and if this was golf, we expect him to birdie every hole," Ryan said. "That's the truth. Now, if he has a couple of par and a bogey every now and then, what's wrong with Revis, you know what I mean? But hopefully, this injury is not that big a deal."

Information from The Associated Press and ESPNNewYork.com's Jane McManus was used in this report.

What in the world will we argue about now?

What is that article supposed to prove?

The Jets as a team and Revis as an individual felt he was ready to play.

He did play.

Rex wasn't aware of him being hurt during the game, but is aware that he's hurt now with "added swelling in his leg," but "hopefully he's ready to roll."

Rex wants him to play, but is not sure today if he will play on Sunday.

He was not blowing Revis, therefore he is a HATER!

What the Revis apologists don't understand is that WE ALL CAN AGREE this team is probably not coming close to sniffing a Super Bowl without him back in form. Sooooooo, the record is all well and good but a first round loss in the playoffs gets us right where we normally are as Jets fans. So excuse me for looking down the road at the big picture a bit and not Brett Favren every win like a horny 14 year old boy with a new droid. Because if this team is going anywhere near a SB they'll need Mevis healthy with his head out of his a$$. Is there a majority that think if he came to camp on time this would not be an issue? Yes. That even when he showed up week 1 he was still not in game shape? Yes. That he injuried his hamstring because he was out of shape and missed camp? Yes. Is there a majority of fans scared to death this guy just got his payday and is the cornerback version of Albert Haynesworth? Yes. So until the Diva shows me something he'll be on my sh*tlist. The fact that he's now injuried and probably won't get the chance to show anything for a few more weeks is his (own self-imposed) problem, not mine. My only problem is that I'm a ******* Jets fan and THIS WAS THE YEAR, and our supposed best player on the team, someone who should be on the forefront leading the charge so to speak, has taken a giant dump on the organization and the season up to this point. So, can he still redeem himself? Hell Yes. But until he does he can gf himself...jmo

Idiot. Revis is not getting any push off or burst because hes not healthy. I saw it all Monday night. he should have sat him till Green bay. he was pretty much useless last night.

Wow.

All this debating over Revis is gheyer than the Pennington debates.

Jets fans ******* suck. You sound like a bunch of ******* women.

My thoughts on Revis... I sure ******* hope he is back at full-speed soon. End of story. All the other conjecture and insinuation about he should be or should have done doesn't matter. All that matters is what is really transpiring, and that is that he is hurt. He needs to get healthy. I hope its soon. So we can keep winning... and so you ******* girls stop crying about this sh*t.

I think that is Rex' weakness, he puts a lot of faith in these guys and honestly thinks they can come through as long as he just believes in them. Clearly that isn't realistic.

People in the game thread were complaining about the blitzes on third and long, but I think honestly even if the Jets are dropping back in coverage they aren't stopping those (plus a few of those were thrown into double coverage anyway, so it's not like the coverage wasn't there). This defense just really isn't all that hot.

Even if Revis comes back, what's to stop opposing teams from just throwing away from him anyway?
