And he is a good owner, good football man and good businessman.

From wiki....

For the most part, Richardson has largely stayed in the background and rarely interferes in the Panthers' day-to-day operations. For instance, when he fired George Seifert after the 2001 season (in which the Panthers went 1-15), he went nine years before holding another press conference at which he took questions from the media—when he announced that John Fox's contract would not be renewed.[4] One of the few times in which he has directly intervened in football matters came in the 2014–15 offseason, when he refused to resign Greg Hardy in the wake of domestic violence charges. Despite requests from players and coaches to let Hardy have another chance, Richardson said that he made the decision not to do so because "we do the right things."[5]

It seems that Donald has managed to acquire a Woody that comes with its own baby oil.

Woody makes perfect sense as his choice, he's been doing that 1%er wearing the common man's baseball cap routine much longer than Donald. Also, he's proven to be exceptional at that whole thing where he gets middle class folks to support a cycle of stagnation by indulging them with shiny objects, all the while their best interests are de-prioritized.

If you really think about it, Woody's ongoing con with "the NY Jets" has been a blueprint.

How do you know. Bob Kraft wasn't a football guy either.

i'm no fan of kraft but that guy is ruthless.  when he bought the patsies it was to make money.  there was no sentimentality.  and his mantra is a successful team brings in the money.  so he does whatever it takes to make sure the team succeeds.
