SAR I b/c they didn't think about the verbage nearly as much as the folks here. i would guess though that if they're going to tweak the color scheme as well as redesign the unis the helmets would also see a change, both in logo and stripe. the 2 stripes are part of the old school and i'm guessing the new helmets won't have any stripes. To me, and this is my opinion, but...... We would probably want to "show" them before the draft so that at the draft we have the new jersey on stage and fans at the drat could have the "new look". The last time we unveiled new unis in 1998 they did it in February. SAR I The decals of the team emblem can be sold. Either put on a cheap helmet or in some sort of team oriented tchotchkee. Fans will pay a premium for a supposed game worn helmet decal. The stripes are freaking worthless. It is just a green stripe. Why bother taking it off. They can not be re-purposed. Let the guy at the refurbishing place remove them. NFL teams do not have their players wear the same helmet shells from year to year. There is a new model of helmet, including the shell, every season. IT is how the helmet companies make money.
