Cousins looked pretty good today, but Alex Smith is looking robotically efficient in WAS and the 'Skins may have been right to save the money by bringing Smith in.  So far he doesn't appear to be even a bit of a downgrade.  I had a feeling after watching him in our preseason game but now I'm seeing it play out.  16/19 for 159 yards and 1 TD so far.

[Update] 17/20 for 171 yards and 2 TD.  Damn.

Watching today's slate and coming away with Adams at 6 last year is really really bad.

Exactly. And it's not even like Adams is a bad player, but also it's the positions that Macc have been drafting. We drafted DT,LB,S and none of those players at those positions (Williams, Lee, Adams) are transcending the position. So when you draft players in the first round, two of those in the top 6 of the draft, and only come away with "good" players at best, while looking at all of the talent we passed on...especially on the offensive side of the ball just makes things look pretty bad.

Does anyone really think Bowles could have developed Mahomes?

I never defend Bowles, but lets be honest here. KC is probably the most potent, most talented offense in the league...minus Mahomes.

You give any QB that offense and you have a good chance to maximise that QB's talent. Give that QB Andy Reid, you may get a HOF'er

That is true. We are going to have to see how many home runs he hits to justify his draft status.  James Conner is the showing why you don't use the 2nd pick in the draft on a running back.

Can't upvote this enough. Every year there are rbs in the later rounds who become studs.
