Based on the list of their free agents:

I would expect Douglas to go after Ronald Darby (CB) and Halapoulivaati
Vaitai (OL) both young and in positions of need:

The 2 below can also help some needs and are reasonably priced. Yes, we need a reliable backup QB.

Nate Sudfeld QB 26 PHI TBD $3,095,000 UFA -
Nelson Agholor WR 27 PHI TBD $2,344,344 UFA -

I've taken a dive into the Philly forums and they hate Agholor. Maybe he can play differently here but it sounds like we should stay away from him.

Halapoulivaati is a guy I really hope they go after. Solid, young tackle that didn't start because he was behind Peters and Johnson. Halapoulivaati also has experience playing guard. Very versatile, young piece that should come reasonably priced.

JD scouted more than just players that landed in Philly. I’m sure prospects he loved he drafted by other teams too

Obviously.

But the fact is still glistening that he KNOWS the players in Philly pretty friggin well, so it's not some out of the universe assumption that he will try to land them here.

Just because he was with Philly doesn’t mean the Jets will sign players from Philly.

New GM's almost always bring players over from their last stop(s).  Many times HC's do the same thing.

It's pretty much a lock that JD is going to bring over at least a couple players he's familiar with and scouted previously.  He already traded for Alex Lewis (drafted by BAL while JD was a scout there), after all.

Both of these make perfect sense.

Sudfeld is virtually a lock to at least get a strong look here.  We shouldn't be spending big money on a backup QB, so Sudfeld is right in the sweet spot (cheap + 4 yrs experience as a backup), especially if we have no plans of using a mid-round pick on a QB.

Agholor has a large case of the dropsies

No WRs hit the open market without a fair share of warts.  Have you seen some of the FA WR names this offseason?  Its abysmal.

Agholor is scarred from his drops

Philadelphia Eagles fans are once again upset with wide receiver, Nelson Agholor, as he dropped another touchdown pass on Sunday.

There aren’t too many guarantees in the football world nowadays. For the Philadelphia Eagles, though, they can almost always count on their wide receiver Nelson Agholor to literally drop the ball in crunch time. It has just become routine at this point.

Now, Sunday’s loss against New England was far from being entirely Nelson Agholor’s fault. We understand the Eagles were missing critical playmakers, and the coaching and quarterback play was average to below average.

However, when a receiver, who is being paid over nine million dollars for this season alone, has the ball in his hands in the end zone with little to no contact — they are expected to catch the ball. When that receiver happens to be Nelson Agholor, though — the opposite effect occurs.

Eagles fans are flat-out tired of it. With only one decent season out of the former first-round pick at this point, many cannot wait until the fifth-year wideout is out of the picture. That can happen as early as this offseason since Agholor is currently playing on the final year of his contract.

While many cannot wait for the day the 2020 NFL new year begins — there are a handful of fans who would be more than willing to depart with the wideout at this point in the year if they were in Howie Roseman’s shoes. That clearly showed on Twitter after Agholor dropped a potentially game-tying touchdown pass on Sunday.

Big V is a decent run blocking RT who has Super Bowl ring but I wonder what his price on the open market is going to be

and if he is worth that price

they do need to sign someone tho

hopefully it's not on the first day/week of FA

He is average at best depth. He had opportunities to fill in with mixed results.
