This is the Jets.  Christopher Johnson will pick their staff.

If ownership is capable of learning they will seek the top talent available and allow that person to do things their way. The definition of insanity and all being our current operating procedure.

Have to let new HC pick his staff with input from his boss. Who he would want on staff and why should be important criteria in his selection.

Not the case with the jets tho. Williams was a package deal with Gase. They wanted to force Williams on Rhule also that’s why he supposedly declined the position

The defense is a catastrophe under Williams this year. No one is forcing Williams on anyone after this season.

We are burning this motherf*cker down.

No.  Anyone overly impressed with Williams defense here?  It sucks.  He can be interim, but bye bye after the season.  All of them -----------------------------------> Out the door!

Ok, exaggeration.

The new coach brings in his own staff in the vast majority of situations. Better?

It's going to. This coaching staff is gonzo, barring an incredibly unlikely turnaround.

You also have to convince the Johnsons to stay out of football decisions

I'll take this one.  The science says love marriages tend to be happier in the beginning than arranged marriages.  But a few years in, there's a shift, and the arranged marriage couples end up happier (on average) in the long run.

Fascinating stuff, right?

WE are getting routinely destroyed and folks want to keep this guy around.   Don't understand it.   Have him take a hike, too.   FIRE EVERYONE.

Arranged marriage cultures also have a stronger taboo against divorce and a higher social penalty for it. I agree it's fascinating and there are many confounding variables that make it so.

I don’t believe this. My dad made me a Jets fan and it’s not getting any happier
