Connor Hughes: Davis TD Wasn't Busted Coverage.

Damn straight.

Please enlighten me how Saleh had a single thing to do with any aspect of this play. At all.

Hes never even seen the inside of the offensive coordinators office.

If Saleh doesn't run steps before the game blasting Kate Bush in his air pods wearing a shirt that says "60%" on the front, none of this ever happens.

The graphic does show that the safeties cheated towards GWil and I think that’s rather self-explanatory as to why they did. Davis was invisible all game and GWil was the only offensive threat the Browns couldn’t completely contain.

Davis was forgotten about/didn’t merit the attention all game by the Browns’ secondary (I forgot he was in the game and figured injured again, lol) yet that was key as to why he was left wide open.  Flacco saw it, threw it perfectly, and felt it when he mentioned “the silence” of the crowd and utter shock.

GWil did eventually catch the GW TD, but more importantly, it showed that he’s a legit threat opposing teams MUST game plan for and then leads to OTHER WRs/TEs/RBs open for big plays.
más long as the QB can find them, someone will be open when GWil is on the field: Him or the teammate he frees up due to the attention Wilson draws.

Garrett Wilson = GW

GW = Game Winner

transitive property

Garrett Wilson = Game Winner?

Lol.  Connor Hughes is an idiot.

It wasn’t the EXACT same look, the formation was different as were the route concepts.

Davis didn’t do a double move or stab his left leg like he was gonna run a deep out. Davis ran a deep fade, that’s it.

Flacco didn’t pump fake or give any indication that Davis was going to run a sideline route.

Ward didn’t try to jump any interception. Ward played the entire route as if he was playing the sideline and passing anything deep off to the safety.

I don’t know who busted the coverage…but it was a busted coverage.

Late here. Are we so addicted to slap fighting over bullsh*t that we're going to argue over whether a td that helped give us one of the feel good moments in recent Jet memory was a busted coverage or a good play or whatever the **** it was?

Miserables

You clearly got nothing better to do on a Monday 3pm afternoon than be on this website forum instead of performing your work or doing something, you know…..useful that contributes to society or humanity, so don’t point fingers on what others, with just as much free time to waste as you, decide how to play MMQB ?

Allowing a WR to run right by you (and Delpit being miles away) into acres of open pasture in that situation wasn't a busted coverage?

So grateful we have Connor Hughes to enlighten us.

yes but it also looked like the browns were paying more attention to wilson than davis.  this is going to be a good thing and the reason why having a true no. 1 receiver is a good thing.

Pretty sure as a CEO style head coach he selected the coaches for each position as well as the coordinators.   He gets credit when they are good, not only when they suck.  Sorry.
