Watching other teams looks like they’re playing a different sport. Extremely disappointing preseason for Wilson. No juice. It’s gone from screens to Slants to intermediate stuff. To me it looks like the emphasis is getting rid of the bal. every team calls a ton of screens in preseason because it keeps the QB clean. Every defense is looking for screens. what I didn’t like is taking 2 hits he could have easily avoided. This kid needs to slide or go out of bounce especially in the preseason. Regardless of Saleh’s gaslighting, it’s been the same Wilson. He can’t complete passes down the field from the pocket. You can sign anyone off the street and throw screens all game. They are trying to get him comfortable with how AR sees the game and picks where to throw based on philosophy/concepts. I tried to watch last night but turned off the game in the second Qrt. Trask looked so much better than Zach. He talked about missing on one of those last week and said “and we wouldn’t have gotten the 1st but it’s six yards in the field position battle.” Defensive head coach All preseason long - get a penalty and shut it down. Forget the stats and all the other stuff. Has he been the best QB on the field in these pre-season games. 2 seasons, started 22 games, he should look better than the rookies, 3rd and 4th stringers on the field with him. But, imo, he has not. Game 1, a rookie, DTR, playing his first pro game looked way better. Could argue that Kellen Mond move the ball more consistently than Zach. Game 2 against Carolina was better. He looked better than Boyle, Young and Corral. Looked like he could be a solid #2. Yesterday, Kyle Trask looked better. I am rooting for Zach. I want to see him look good. He may be playing well in camp, but the reps that I could see, in these three games, I am not impressed.
