Well if he wants to ever be an NFL QB, it's the wrong decision. If he wants to take his $ and go home to Utah and be a trivia question answer and do BYU radio , that's his future. Either you want IT, being a starting NFL QB, or you don't want IT. There's no half assing it; either all in, or out.

The Jets are a complete disaster right now, a complete and total mess that makes previous administrations look like a well-oiled juggernaut.

He came here because he saw how weak management was and immediately ran roughshod over the organization.  He's great but he's not a winner.  He's also a liar and hated by one of the best organizations in football.

I would love to see him play well for the Jets.  He's not a good guy.

Woody is 100% a factor in our travails the past 12/13 years.  His hires have almost universally been terrible, and he waits far too long to hold bad staff accountable.  While I mock the conspiracy folks, I'm no fan of Woody Johnson.  I just don't see him as any more (or less) evil or meddling than most NFL Owners.  

I do not believe he must leave (I'll refrain from referencing your preferred methodology of "resignation") for the organization to have success.

He has to hire better people, unquestionably.  He hired Joe Douglas, and Joe Douglas has not worked out.  Can he do it?  Is he capable of making good hires?  It doesn't look good certainly, but he's gotten some top end consultant/NFL advice on all these hires and they all failed, so who knows.  Rex was a good hire in my book.  Saleh was the top candidate and JD came well recommended, yet both have well under performed, and no because of picks Woody forced on them (IMO).

If he hired the right guy (who that is, I do not know, I don't scout GM candidates) as GM, that GM can succeed even under Woody.  I don't buy the Woody is Cheap argument.  

I lay 100% of the blame on JD, Saleh and Zach Wilson.  A bad GM hired a bad Coach, and drafted a bad QB.  And the bad Owner won't hold them accountable for it. 

I don't believe in the Jet Blue Conspiracy.  I don't believe Woody is calling the shots on Rodgers, or personnel, or on keeping Zach in or out any any of it.  That is JD and JD alone, with Saleh alongside.  Both trying to save their jobs after hoping on Zach too long.

And at the end of the day, Woody isn't leaving.  I'll repeat what I said when we sadly got all cross with each other my friend, if I (personally) believed we were 100% no-chance-ever doomed with Woody as Owner, and I knew Woody wasn't going to quit owning the team in my lifetime, I (personally) would find something else to do or some other team to follow on my Sundays.  JMO.  

Hopefully this reply does not make me a ****face.  But who knows, maybe it does, lol.  War****facefish, that's got a ring to it, right?

The biggest takeaway for me is this: why the **** is Robert Saleh texting Joe Beningo and why does Joe Beningo feel like it’s ok to share the content of those texts? Beningo shares that Saleh 1. Doesn’t like Zach, 2. Keeps a list of other coach’s records without their QB1, and 3. When Beningo texted Saleh that Zach gives him the best chance to win, Saleh replied, “Joe, are you kidding?” I know Francesa had personal relationships with Dolan, Parcells, Buck, etc, but even Francesa wouldn’t throw guys under the bus so explicitly.

I think it’s purposeful. Saleh isn’t dumb. He wants it out there- that he’s being told to play Zach and Wilson is spoiled.  Im fairly certain Saleh is gone at this point because Woody probably hates this.

It’s a multi faceted problem.  The hc wants people to know he’s been saddled with a spoiled brat qb he’s got to protect publicly.  He’s also spin doctoring his exit with eyes on his next position.

Bortles best year was in year 2 with Olson as OC with 35 touchdowns

Nate Hackett was elevated and his career went in the toilet

I'm not sure who comes off as dumber - Benigno (for publicly embarrassing the head coach of his favorite sports team) or Saleh (for sharing his private thoughts about the team with a a lowbrow, retired sports radio host).

The fish rots from the head, and he's making it altogether clear that the primary cause of said rot is not HIM, it's Zach Wilson, and the guy who drafted and saddled him with Zach Wilson, i.e. Joe Douglas.
