Untouchable
LOL I love how the Pats are married to the “Patriot Way” philosophy. That sh*ts all fine and good when you have Tom Brady at QB. Not so much otherwise. I guess it’s fate Win 6 championships in 20 years and karma dictates you should be sh*t for at least 20 years afterwards. Jimmy 2 Times
I've heard of Hellmann's and OJ. Who is this Jerod? Is it Jer-odd or Jared?
More Cowbell
Is this the same guy who was a LB for the Pats?

When a report came out last week that he was rubbing people the wrong way, he actually gave a real good self-reflecting answer. I do not think he will try to be Bill. I think this is Josh McDaniels and probably Patricia's biggest issue. Hopefully, he will use the tenets learned as a player and coach under Bill, but be his own man like Vrabel is. You're trying to convince yourself. I get it. As a Jet fan, though, we've seen this "first time HC" movie way too many times before. You guys have lost your Superman-like powers. Now you're just a regular team. Don't worry, though, the Jets will still stink too. You guys are just joining us back in the basement. Welcome back! It's been too long! It’s basically some made-up thing which in reality was nothing more than Tom Brady’s efficiency / production plus Belichick being an authoritarian a—hole.

rex-n-effect
I have a hard time believing Kraft is dumb enough to think he can duct tape together the leftovers of Belichick's coaching staff and keep things rolling forward, especially with that team needing a QB and an overall roster reboot. I can believe this is a temporary move to buy a year to find more permanent staffing.

playtowinthegame
It truly is a glorious day today. Belichick was the last piece of their dynasty to fall. Their franchise will continue to nosedive and just miss the playoffs each season, but not get a high draft pick either. Purgatory for the Patriots. 1

I'm not sure why we are still retaining our HC and not hiring him but who am I? Me too.... Would have bet the farm it was going to be Vrabel. Another one I got wrong.

Rangers9
It'll be interesting to see how they deal with Mac Jones. He was in the dog house with Belli but some pundits think it wasn't all his fault his performances took a nose dive this past season. That some of it had to do with poor decision making by CS on the offensive side. I think there would be interest by other teams in Mac more so than ZW and the Patriots would get some return in a trade. Probably NEP will draft a QB and keep either Zappe or Mac. Jet_Engine1
Hmm, after 4 years of logos and slogans and such, at a time when whoever takes over for BB, the bar will just be to high to ever be seen as a success, Kraft makes the first Minority HC hire in Patriots history... Yeah, if he's still coach in 24 months, I'll be shocked. Yes. A cynical take... but par for the course in New England.

Vice versa how much buyers remorse will the Krafts have over keeping Mayo not knowing Vrabel would be on the street? Saucy 1
Rangers9
The first thing I think about Mayo was the 2008 NFL draft. The Jets took Vern at 6 and Patriots took Mayo at 10. And we know the rest of that story.
