I don’t necessarily see the Jets drafting an opening day starter at 10. I don’t think that is a bad thing.   They would definitely draft a 2025 opening starter in 2024.  That would be an improvement, because MCD is not a 2024 opening day starter.  Broderick Jones, Anton Harrison, JDN and Addison would be opening day starters this year.

Kind of obvious the oline and wr pressure is off, on paper.  But they still need reliable oline players to play tackle and maybe guard if the injury histories are an indication of how many games smith, avt, and Moses will be available for.  Plus smith is on a one year and they need to decide about picking up the fifth year on avt.  So it makes sense to use a high pick on oline.
