I clicked on Cine and Bartholomew, but I don't think they'll regret losing any of these players.  I clicked on Cine, even though he was never a Jet, because I think it quite possible that if he's healthy and not suffering any long-term effects from his fractured leg, the Jets' DB coaches could have turned him around and resurrected his career, and the Jets would have had a very good, very fast S,

I clicked on Bartholomew, because he has potential, but unless the Jets lost their minds and let MC II, Echols, and Reed walk in FA, and failed to extend Sauce, he had no shot here.  JBC and Stiggers are next in line, and Swilling looked better than Bartholomew in preseason.  At best Bartholomew would have been a PS player or the Jets' #6 CB.

We should have kept Sebiert the K

Zerline would have to be really bad for more than a few games which nobody can see that happing because he has played at a high level for so long.

he is not some 2nd or 3rd year player who you are going to cut after a few bad games. besides even if Sebiert  doesnt end up somewhere now he would have been taking off our PS sooner or later.

Bartholomew has talent and had a good pre-season. Maybe, long term, we will regret losing him if he becomes a good NFL CB.

But he was, at best, the 7th CB here. There was just no spot for him on the roster, no matter how much potential he might have.

Good luck to him in Carolina.

Even the good ones hit a cliff.  Just would like insurance.

True, but even great kicker can have bad seasons or go stone cold for a while.  That would be the last thing the Jets would need this season.  It's not like Seibert would have been kept on the roster, but rather on the PS.  Then if Zuerlein were to get injured, the Jets would have a replacement in house that had experience working with Hennessy and Morstead.  They wouldn't have to cut Zuerlein.  They could just deactivate him for a game or two, until he regained his accuracy.  It would mean that they had to cut a player, but imo that would be better than losing additional games because of missed FGs and extra points.  Plus, who knows?  Zuerlein may retire at the end of the year, and the Jets would already have Siebert unless some other team signed him off of our PS.

If Zuerlein were to cause us to lose 2-3 games in a row, don't you imagine the fanbase would be going nuts?  Hopefully, that doesn't happen, but it wouldn't be the first time a very good kicker loses his touch.
