#27TheDominator
Brad Smith duplicates Josh Cribbs. Unlikely to fill any WR void. Thought Smith has a knee problem? I think it was ribs, but they couldn't waive him until he was 100% healthy so he should be good to go now.

stoicsentry
No big deal. One month is better than the rest of the season, plus the Jets will be getting receivers and tight ends back in the meantime.

kelticwizard
Cribbs is a WR/returner who can also play some RB, so he's Kerley's temp replacement. Note Cribbs' production as late as 2011. He's only 30.
whodeawhodat
Cribbs def looks like he wants to prove something. Playing like a straight bully. We will miss Kerley on 3rd downs though.
Pac
- He'll only miss 3 games against the Bills, Ravens, and Dolphins. We should go at least 2-1 in those games. - Holmes (as much as I hate him) returning more than negates any loss by Kerley being out. - Cumberland and a rested Winslow are back adding huge pieces to Genos arsenal. - Salas may be showing the coaches enough in practice to warrant meaningful minutes in the slot. When you add in Genos maturation, our Offense should be in a better position next week than they've been in all year.

kelticwizard
Look at it this way. Cribbs was essentially a returner his first five years, then began a process of increasing production at WR the next three. I don't know what happened in 2012, but then who are the Jets to ask anyone what happened in 2012?

Il Mostro
I agree. You guys would be saying we're 6-3 in spite of him. Wrong. We'd be wondering if we could beat out the Bucs for the #1 overall pick.

BroadwayJoe12
The Patriots will sign Brad Smith. I don't see that as too likely, they can barely find time for kenbrell thompkins now that all their guys are healthy. It's possible, but certainly not something we'd have to lose sleep over if it happens. I think you're gonna see why I said to be excited in Salas, he certainly seems like a player. What's going to be interesting to see is how much playing time Sudfeld gets now that both our TEs are healthy and eligible: my guess is that they split him out wide on certain downs and play him over Winslow who was already losing all his snaps to Cumberland before his suspension. The Crusher
Is "Geno's arsenal" the same thing as "Sanchez has no weapons"? Not if we are talking about rookie seasons. If we are comparing Marks fourth year with Geno's first year then yes. Mark had a pretty nice team around him for his rookie campaign.
