How ironic is this?

So, in 2009 Rex kicks the door down to make his grand poobah entrance telling the whole world that he didn't come here to kiss Belichicks rings and if you hit one of ours we'll hit two of yours. And his infamous quotes after losses like, "we'll play them in the parking lot if they want".

Remember Rex fathers quote when he was hired by Arizona? "You got a winner in town"!

Funny the similarities of where these teams ended up with a Ryan coaching them. Buddy signed a washed up Emmitt Smith, Jets signed a washed up CJ.

But here is the most ironic thing regarding Rex exit from New York, he gets to be sent out in his last home game by his nemesis, and even though Belichick "likes" Rex, don't for one minute think that he doesn't get some pleasure of taking Rex nose & rubbing it right into a pile of dogsh*t!

Rex last home game will be like an away game vs the New England Patriots. There will be more Pats fans in the stands, their starting CB was once Rex prized possession that he called the best CB to ever play the game, over & over & over again, while Revis agents kept pushing the add button on their calculator each time he strolled to the podium to make another headline.

Sad really, 6 years wasted chasing a team he couldn't catch. A team that is playing better ball now on defense than they were playing in 2010. While Rex presided over 6 years of defensive draft picks our defense got worse overall every year.

After Belichick & the Pats hand Rex is last home loss at MetLife and usher him into his life as the ex HC of the NY Jets, Belichick will shake his hand, wish him luck, and try to get to another Superbowl, you know damn well that deep in the recesses of his Satanic mind he'll be muttering, "Suck my C*ck!"

One consistent Ryan Family trait......hot air.

Want to read something funny & quite similar regarding Buddy & Rex (excerpt from Buddys Wikepedia during his Cards days)

"The Cardinals finished the season ranked third in the NFL in total defense, although it allowed only two fewer points in 1994 than they did in 1993. An anemic offense, one which saw three quarterbacks start at least one game, held the team back. Arizona scored 89 points fewer in 1994 than it did in 1993, and it finished with a minus-32 point differential after finishing at plus-57 in 1993."

Like father like son.....QB killers!

Depending on our Health I expect us to come pretty close to or straight up beating the Patriots in a few weeks.

Miami had those same intentions to send off Rex last year - Didn't work out for them. Im not some huge Rex fan but the team is going to play extremely hard for him in his last game as a coach here.

Rex haters just love crapping on him. One thing Rex didn't do this year is lose to the Raiders like Harbaugh did yesterday :animal0029: ..

Wish I could.  But the freak would probably like it.

Rex is getting everything he deserves.  Should have been shown the door two years ago with Tanny.  Now, we're mired even further in doodie.

I fully expect the Jets to beat the Pats on Dec 21st. Rex is spending weeks preparing for this game - it is his "super bowl" and his last hurrah as a head coach. Unfortunately it will hurt our draft position.

That's great, Rex preparing for "weeks" for this game.

Do you have any idea what Rex's record is after the bye week when he has extra time to prepare?

...and then he'll lean in and ask Rex to be his defensive coordinator.

It's worth pointing out that the Patsies have spent more picks on D over the past years than the Jets have.

Where's the parade being held at ??.. Maybe , they can coordinate with the occupy Idzik movement and hand out towels at the Rex parade.

The team hasn't scheduled it yet.  The date will be finalized after we beat the Titans and the players pour Gatorade over Rex in exuberant celebration.

I've been a Jet fan longer than you've been alive I can guarantee you that. It's getting old. I'm getting old. This team needs a bold makeover and a completely new direction. I'd rather watch us lose 42-38. Having a totally inept offense for 5 of the 6 years Rex has been unwatchable.

Add in Rex defense giving up big plays before each half, during every 2 minute drills and in OT like Sunday is also frustrating considering every idiot announced wants to keep reminding us that Rex is a defensive genius.

Whether it's better choices, or that they've done better with what they've chosen, the results on the field speak volumes. They've drafted a lot of defensive players that didn't work out, probably as many as we have, so I tend to think it's more about developing the draft crop better, rather than drafting better.

Part of it too is complementary football - they've invested in a defense to support a strong offense, and defending a big lead is always going to work better than defending when trailing in a game.

The Jets however draft defense ... because they do.
