The 2015 Dolphins and Bills slander thread.

What's funny is that JiF was actually the first guy on this board to point out that Rex was a bad coach. Fortunately, Bills fans are smart enough to figure it out on their own. CTM is a productive member of society and very likely a wonderful lover.

Lotsa Dolphin talk in this thread.

Dolphins owners are attempting to purchase partial ownership of Formula 1 Racing.  They are competing with Qatar to do so.  Huh?

Miami Dolphins teaming up with Qatar in F1 takeover bid

Formula One could have new owners in the near future if the latest reports prove accurate. According to the Financial Times, a potential bid is being prepared by the owners of the Miami Dolphins (yes, the football team) and the government of Qatar. If they decide to go ahead, and if the bid is accepted, they could be poised to take over at least partial ownership of the commercial rights to the racing series.

Those rights are currently held principally by CVC Capital Partners, an investment firm that acquired them (through a series of holding companies) in 2005. Having initially consolidated its majority ownership, however, CVC has been looking for the right way to divest itself from the sport and capitalize on its initial investment, which has only appreciated in value over the past decade. It initially planned to float some of its shares on the Singapore stock exchange in 2012. That ultimately failed, but has been entertaining offers and selling portions of its holdings ever since.

This latest bid is reportedly being prepared by RSE Ventures and Qatar Sports Investments. The former is a sports and entertainment firm that, in addition to owning the NFL team and other assets, has been linked with a project to bring a Major League Soccer team to the Florida city in partnership with David Beckham. Qatar Sports Investments, meanwhile, is an arm of the Persian Gulf state which controls the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team and principal advertising rights for FC Barcelona.

Their joint bid would reportedly have RSE and Qatar initially taking a 35.5 percent stake in the Formula One Group from CVC, and potentially taking over Bernie Ecclestone's 5 percent stake as well – though the controversial director could remain involved even after the takeover. That initial acquisition could lead to either or both parties buying a larger stake in the future as well, with an eye towards better capitalizing on the sport's market potential. At present, however, the parties are reportedly still in the exploratory stage, with CVC yet to receive an offer and the FIA yet to have been asked to approve any such transaction.

The glass is "always" half empty with Sully.   I post on the Buffalo News and other posters criticize him constantly.  They say what I would like to say.  I agree that it is stupid to pull a QB without seeing what they can do with the pads/training camp.  I've said this many times,  I would love to see EJ make starting QB.  He is such a great kid.

EJ playing well would be the best outcome. TheJ at not sure if he has it in him or has the arm

Same scuttlebutt as on the Bills' Mafia. Bills fan seem to hate the Dolphins.

Slats is being sarcastic. He has deep emotional ties to Rex Ryan and is committed to Rex Ryan's success. You, Jeanie, will not root harder for the Bills than slats will.

I just wanna drink beers in his garage and bang his wife while he watches and motivates us. Totally different thing.

EJ Manuel lights up the backup defense, and 5 other observations from Buffalo Bills' minicamp

Orchard Park, N.Y. — On the third and final day of Buffalo Bills' minicamp Thursday, the offense finally got a feel for what life would be like without the best defensive line in the NFL chasing down the quarterback on every snap.

Rex Ryan decided to give the defensive line a bit of a break to make life a bit easier on the quarterbacks. While Matt Cassel still struggled, completing six of his nine passes for minimal yardage and an interception, EJ Manuel stepped up. In 11-on-11 drills, Manuel was 10 for 11 with two impressive deep passes, including a touchdown to Marcus Easley in a two-minute drill.

"We looked a little watered down and things on defense, but it was good," Ryan conceded. "It was great to see. "

Manuel also hit wide receiver Marquise Goodwin on a deep pass and was sacked only once after Bills quarterbacks were sacked a total of eight times Wednesday.

Progress is progress, no matter who is on the other side of the ball. Manuel was confident in his reads and willing to take chances with the football.

It's a start

Yeah that's how you develop offense. Put it on easy mode for them so they can get overconfident and built up swagger points.

Not every team is going to have a defense as good as the Bills.  So why not start off or end mini camp with the QB using  1 practice with the   second line defense to get an idea how the QB can play against a mediocre defense.  At the same time it builds some confidence in a QB who hasn't played for some time.

So a Buffalo Bills' Fan,  who happens to be vacationing in South Carolina,  sees a car with a license plate that reads:  #1 Patriots Fan.  So he decides to leave a note:

I am sorry, but this is not the New England Patriots slander thread.

I know but I thought I'd throw this one in here.  Seems that Jets' fans never mind hearing a bad word or two about the Patriots.

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan will have his own TV show in 2015

Orchard Park, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills fans will get all of the Rex Ryan they can handle this fall.

On Sept. 12, Ryan will premier a weekly television show on WKBW (Channel 7 in Buffalo), according to the Buffalo News. The show will be hosted by John Murphy, who is the voice of the Bills' radio broadcasts on WGR 550.

The weekly show will air at 7 p.m. on Saturday nights and will re-air each week at 11 a.m. Ryan, who has already provided plenty of star power since arriving in January, will now have another outlet to showcase his personality.

Ryan is certainly a change-up from the Bills' last coach, Doug Marrone, who according to the Buffalo News, did not want to participate in a television show with WKBW.

It hasn't taken long for Ryan to make Bills fans forget all about Marrone, but Buffalo's new head coach will be the first to say that none of the buzz he generates will matter until the team takes the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sept. 13 to play against the Indianapolis Colts.

The great Aaron Kromer, arrested for assault

NFL Policy  -  6 game suspension.  Nice going Aaron

As part of the NFL's latest personal conduct policy, violations involving assault or battery of any kind will result in a baseline six-game suspension for first offenses. More games can be added to the suspension for "aggravating factors." In addition, anyone charged with a violent crime can be placed on paid leave until an NFL investigation is completed.

I hope this charge gets reduced.  The charge:  Assault with intent to cause bodily harm.  How do you prove intent in this case?
