Philc1
1. Fire Gase and Douglas 2. Promote Williams to Head Coach, hire Scott McCloughan as GM 3. Draft Jeudy 4. Sign Anthony Castonzo and Brandon Scherff 5. Sign Antonio Brown to a 2 year deal. He serves the suspension this year we have him next year and he wants revenge against the Pats 5
jetscrazey
Dedicate the whole offseason to o-line and do whatever it takes to get an edge rusher and big time cornerback here. Fill in the rest afterwards.
joewilly12
The Johnsons need to sell the team so we can get football minded owners who at least understand the game.
SayNoToDMC
This isn't Joe Douglas' fault. We fired an incompetent moron at GM after already letting him pick top 10 and spend 100 million dollar on FA's. He opted for a RB knowing we had no OL. Bills revamped their entire line to help their young QB for what we spent on a RB.

pdxgreen
Gase won't last the season. I am done with him. Sam had a bad game. The OL had a bad game. The team's overall state was terrible. If your going to lose, its HOW you lose that's important. There was just nothing there after a while. You have to offer some kind of culture to offset bad performance. What does Gase offer other than never coming out of his office while he looks at video and draws up plays all day? His people skills and ability to manage a team suck. The Fins players were shouting that to high heaven.
BallinPB
Christopher Johnson and Joe Douglas takes the podium tomorrow morning. CJ admits that he made a mistake in hiring Gase and let’s him know that he is relieved of his duties. Douglas starts looking for a new coach while Gregg Williams takes over in the interim. Thats they way you start trying to fix this mess. 2

jetscrazey
If Gregg Williams were head coach, we'd all be crying that the offense sucks. Gase isn't doing the job right now. He didn't have his team ready tonight. But that doesn't mean that Gregg Williams is a good head coach in 2019. There are very few good head coaches.
AL047
It won't take one year to fix this team!!!! This team needs to overhaul the oline and get WRs that don't get hurt or take off plays. Don't believe what you see during the preseason or make predictions about the playoffs or how Darnold looks in the preseason!!!

He Made no plays. Oh yes so great. This team sucks the life out of their fans. Remember when we had Edwards Holmes Citcherry Green Faneca etc...Made 0 plays. F all of the sorry ass players minus Bell. Bell is the best jet and the long snapper

Beerfish
I am afraid it can't and won't be 'fixed'. When the biggest problem in an organization is the person making the most important decisions and you cannot get rid of that person there is no fixing it. Now if hypothetically I was put in charge. Douglas would stay. Gase would be fire right now, not tomorrow not end of year not 3 years from now (which is when it will happen). I've said it numerous times Gase to use was like REx going to Buffalo. We are going to give this fraud two more years after this one minimum because ownership cannot admit it made such a horrible blunder. Out only hope is that douglas drafts well we are stuck with a terrible coach, once again.

Skeet Ulrich
Do exactly what John Lynch did in SF: rebuild both lines from the ground up. It's the only way. Nothing matters if the Jets can't win at the point of attack on the line

The highest his defense was ranked since he returned from his suspension was 22nd. Regardless, gase is much worse.

jetstream23
How do we fix this? The collective wisdom of the board tonight seems to indicate a few things have to happen. Ownership needs to change, re-locate the team, fire the head coach, get a new quarterback, find about 17 new starters on offense and defense, improve the depth. Other than that, 50% still seem to like the uniforms so we got that going for us.
