It’s not Gase’s fault that Herndon sucks this year. To call it a post-Gase bounce back would be inaccurate, if he learns how to catch again.

They don’t have to be with Jets to get a vote think Kenyon Drake and Tannehill after they escaped Gase

It's got to be Darnold IMO.  Was on a good path and had a great trajectory as he completed his rookie season in 2018.  5 of his 8 best games in his career (by QB Rating) took place his rookie season under Bates.  He's been on a slow decline just like most of the offense and its skill position players since the day Gase walked into the building.  Sam has had plenty of self-inflicted wounds to be sure (Mono, trying to do too much in certain games without the supporting cast, etc.) but Darnold seems like the guy with the highest upside if put under better coaching and with NFL-level talent.

Let him spend a year with Sean Payton faking handoffs to Alvin Kamara and throwing post routes to Michael Thomas.  I think his talent would show up in big way.  It certainly would be more interesting than having him do play-action to 67 year old Frank Gore while throwing out routes to Braxton Berrios as Dowell Loggains thinks up the next play call.

As down on I am on Darnold, I would still vote him. 

Crowder is already very good. 

You could also vote Perriman, but he will likely already be on his fifth team next year and also has durability issues just like Darnold. 

Everyone else on that list is either washed up, complete garbage, or just irrelevant.

Being on Jets is irrelevant -- Tannehill and Drake had huge leaps forward on different teams.

If it asked which players won’t benefit from being rid of Gase, I’d have trouble deciding between gore and crowder. Mann would see much less work, but that’s not a bad thing. Everyone else benefits.

It’s darnold. He’s the only that plays enough to be judged and has enough visible talent to perform better under better circumstances. I’m not sure why bell is even on the list although he’s already shown he’s performing about the same.

Tannehill had a huge leap forward at age 31 after getting traded by the post-Gase Dolphins to a team that stuck him first behind Marcus Mariota and then behind the offensive line giving up the worst adjusted sack rate in the league. There may be an individual reason for the four players who took a leap -- I actually think Tannehill is not the best example because he was already decent before going to TN -- but the pattern is very damning for Gase. Then add in Darnold's flop and it gets even worse.
