hmhertz
The Jets had a meeting with ECU QB Holton Ahlers last week. The 6’3 signal caller completed over 67% of his passes last year for 3708 yards, 28 touchdowns and 5 INTs. The Packers have also been showing a lot of interest in him. Sperm Edwards
If he's a day 3 pick (particularly rounds 5 or later) it's smart to plan for a future beyond Rodgers (should they land him) and Wilson (should he fail to improve, and even if he does they need a QB2). Over time, a couple of these less-heralded guys will become something. Most won't, of course, but no one wins a lottery without buying a ticket. If we land one on the first try, bully for us. If not, try again another time, with a 5th or even a 6th round pick that can be recouped by trading down a few slots earlier for roughly the same level prospect earlier (e.g. 43 vs 47). Gotta be in it to win it. Then again he's a ****ing lefty QB. Also this isn't my own observation but it's not good if anyone comes away thinking this: http://nfldraftblitz.com/2022/10/18/2023-senior-bowl-watchlist-scouting-notes-qb-holton-ahlers-east-carolina/ Ahlers has a very limited arm. Doesn’t show the ability to drive the football well with velocity. Offers little to no deep ball. He struggles to throw the ball properly and, with a lack of a spiral, loses much of his ability to control it. He has little to no ability to throw with arc or touch because of the circular motion of his release. Every ball is on a line. Has a very awkward and uncomfortable-looking circular release. The ball looks like a dying duck, even on short throws underneath. He tends to put a downward spiral on his throws. Accuracy is very spotty. Very large box accuracy. Can throw with timing and anticipation. His placement is awful consistently. Average pocket positioning during his drop back. Little heavy-footed for my liking. Limited downfield ability. Offers some ability as a runner. Has a little bit of power to his game, has the body size to take contact. He doesn’t offer much ability to extend plays. So there's that, lol. 1

Kid had a pretty nice season for not having arm strength, accuracy, touch and ball placement skills.?

Beerfish
Jets will have the vet qb, Wilson and will draft a QB later in the draft. Mike white is going to go to another team. Always worth looking at QBs, look at frisco the last player in the draft rescued their season.

FootballLove
This write up coulda been done for at least 40-50 college arms. Not sure why this arm is being looked at. I guess once one team shows an interest, the rest of the GMs follow suit.
