Where is Bruce Coslet now? Bowles has the better w/l record so hard to argue against. I personally despise his ultra conservative, play not to lose by too much game day approach though. Coslet had about 8 or 9 All Pros on that Cincy offense when he was OC there. Total disaster when he didn’t have the talent with the Jets. He went 10-6 his first year with the Jets when he had decent QB play. That gets you into the playoffs most years and is better than his record the last two years. Reality is most of these DC turned HCs can win if they have a good QB. They just can’t manufacture offense/draft/develop QBs so you better hope you figure it out without them.
