Jimmy G Suspended!

It seems like everyone is salivating over Minshew.  Problem is he would be coming here without Shane Steichen plus Minshew can get a starting job somewhere

He’s produced with 3 different franchises my guy.  One of them was the friggin Jaguars before they got good.

I do agree he deserves a legit shot at a QB1 job though.

You don’t want Jimmy G.    Let’s put it this way Zach Wilson>>>>>>>>>>>Jimmy G is way better Qb right now.  Jimmy G inability to be able to throw the football deep compromised the offense.    Probably Devante Adams played more injured than was let on.  Z Jimmy G was getting him killed every week he was out there .

Lmao.

Raideraholic, circa Summer ‘23:  “Jimmy G is a better fit than Carr for McDaniels’ system”

No both statements could be right at the time.  No one knows when player reaches the end of his career .   ( injuries do take their toll) He played well in Josh McDaniel offense before so if he was anywhere the player he once  was, he should been a great fit.

Who knows he was shallow of his self , and all it took was three games , and everyone could see for them.   It was so obvious that even you Jetfan80 who knows nothing about football could figure that out.

case in point A Rodgers .  He had sucess with the Jets current offensive coordinator . You can say it’s great marriage that should work right.   Who knows what a 41 year old coming off major injury going to look like.   There are other factors why a previous statement that was right at the time, didn’t turn out that way.

The Raiders can go in many directions at Qb.   Signing a veteran ( won’t be Russell Wilson reports out there Raiders aren’t interested)  .  They are going to try and move up in the draft . Unlikely they get in top three as the cost is going to be too much.     Chicago Bears second pick in the first is the most likely spot they can move up.       Getting rid of Jimmy G guarantee contract is like hitting the lottery.   ( get a big name Fa with that money saved.

If the Raiders are going to draft their QB, they should make a huge trade up and get a guy that they think can solve the position for years to come.  They've got a very nice supporting cast as it is.

2 games?????

SIGN THIS BEAST!

You're joking, but he'd actually be the perfect backup QB. Experienced starter, value at its lowest ebb, could keep the team afloat for a few games if Rodgers has a short-term injury, and his biggest problem - durability - wouldn't show up if he's the backup and only needed for a short stretch.

Raiders defense was number one since Antonio pierce took over the team.   It’s young defense they are couple pieces Cb ( draft ) , top veteran Dt ( Fa)  to mentor the young Dt’s they have ( Marquan McCall , Nesta Jade Silveria , Bryon Young from being dominant unit.
you trade up from 13 for one top 3 QBs it’s going to be very expensive ..     That’s going to hurt what you want to do filling roster spots .

i would took a chance on Justin Fields but with Luke Getsy the Raiders new offensive coordinator , it wouldn’t make sense as they couldn’t make it work in Chicago.      Russell Wilson I would be happy coming in competing for AOC for starting job.( I like what saw from him)     They have Antonio Brown jr as the developmental Qb.

Yeah and he had Shane Steichen calling the plays for him and using his playbook for 2 of those franchises.  Unless you are getting him with Steichen as a package deal he’s not going to be good and he can get a starting gig as bridge qb with a team like the Bears or Falcons anyway

Then f**king bring Steichen over, lol.  We need new coaches anyways so why not.  Get a legit offense-minded HC in here.

Nothing surprises me anymore from the Jets but they might end up picking up Jimmy G if he gets cut by the Raiders. Remember after Rodgers decides to retire they have a viable QB to lead the Jets. If they draft another QB it will be deja vu all over again because he will end up starting and failing.

Jimmy G must have been hitting the peptides. I have to believe many players do this to recover from injury - taking a chance they won't get caught.

Putting a guy who bangs porn stars in Vegas was a recipe for exactly this kind of disaster. No boundaries, no limits, so sense of being smart.

With his suspension and if he's cut the Raiders could save over 22 million on a 70 plus deal he signed originally with 45 guaranteed. Not sure exactly how much Raiders actually paying him based on small amount of time (one season) he actually played there. I don't see him going to Jets you'd think going to a team to compete for starting job. But for a lot less money.

You 2 were so very, very wrong about Jimmy G and should feel bad about that.  And yes, that’s still true no matter what return on investment we get from Rodgers.

Not by me 8-0, I was in the Derek Carr camp from day one I even saved a stat box of his career in my photos that I would post here there and everywhere. He was wise not to have chosen working for these idiots running the Jets and would have also gotten injured behind that offensively offensive O-line

I stand by it

The Jets would have been way better off signing Jimmy G and watching him get hurt then trading for Aaron, signing 6 of his useless buddies, putting Hackett the worst coach in the league in charge of the offense and lose two second round picks and then watching Aaron get hurt

They both are gonna get hurt but Jimmy G doesn't cripple your franchise

I’d bet over 75% of the league are using using something illegal. He got caught.

Pretty sure LSD is a schedule 1 substance under the controlled substance act which includes Herion and MDMA.  Which begs the question about another NFL QB.

He didn't get caught. He got setup by ownership so they wouldn't have to pay out his guaranteed $. Watch how sh*tty free agency goes for Vegas this offseason now as a result.
