Tiger Woods

He's a golfer. We have no need to know anything about his character. He is not running for office. He plays golf for a living for goodness sakes.

And just because he is famous, that doesn't make it right that people feel the need to dissect his private life.

Since when do any of us have the right to know what happens in Tiger Woods private life? Does he have the right to know about the most intimate details of your private life?

I'm not presenting a public persona and generating revenue off of it:

Nike

Gatorade

Tag watches

etc.

That's the point. He is a golfer, sure. But he's also a golfer who has generated millions of dollars by creating and crafting a public persona. If you are making money like that then you WILL be subject to scrutiny meanwhile you remain in the public eye.

Trying to substantiate an argument on the premise of WELL YOUR PRIVATE LIFE IS PRIVATE is all relevant as well. If I start nailing all the hot designer girls upstairs and then I'm outed then well, I'm sure I'll develop a reputation that will be, albeit on a much smaller scale, publicly discussed.

It's not necessarily we have a right to this knowledge, the facts are out there now, and he doesn't have a right to only put out good things about himself which will assist in keeping a good public image thus making money off of that when there is public knowledge of him being a cheating dirtbag.

I'm also going to say I'm fine with all his sponsors staying with him, he's not promoting family, he's promoting performance. Just because he's an athlete, doesn't earn him the right to manage the information released about him. Same goes for politicians.

Since when does profiting from your talent preclude you from having a private life?

What you're pontificating is a Utopian point of view. In a perfect world you could be rich, famous, and everyone would love you and never look to see how flawed of a human being you are because you happen to swing a stick REALLY REALLY well.

And in that same world, my parents would get health care for free, we would pay no taxes, there would be no war, and I'd be hung like Lexington Steele.

Reality is simple- if you're famous, NO MATTER HOW YOU'RE FAMOUS, you're going to be subject to scrutiny. Especially when you try to create the perfect life type of image. Gorgeous wife, big house in the burbs, making big money. That's the age we live in.

And FWIW, I rather have it this way. Guys who wait in-line for hours for an autograph of some guy who happened to play sports, to worship them, is silly IMO. They're humans, they just happen to excel in athletics. Some people who get there accept the fact that they will be revered and dissected and live a life that's focused on trying not to screw up.

The problem is people who feel the should know stuff about the celebrity's that endorse the products they buy. Those people shouldn't buy products because they're endorsed by a celebrity, but they want to pass blame. Pass blame for nothing really.

I wouldn't be shocked in TW video will be coming to a theater near you

#8 another porno star

Tiger Woods has been linked to another porn star. A source tells Deadspin that porn actress Joslyn James would talk about "all the freaky **** Tiger dug in bed."

Woods has previously been reported to have slept with Holly Sampson (NSFW PHOTOS, VIDEO), whose credits include Descent Into Bondage and Diary of a Horny Housewife. The Sampson news followed rumors that Woods had a range of mistresses across the country.

In reality, athletes, especially bazillionaire athletes, are public figures and that's really what it comes down to. It's just a social fact (recognized legally mind you). Sorry, them's the breaks. That and the irony of everyone wanting to have a discussion about how this shouldn't be a discussion, or media outlets reporting on how there shouldn't be anything to report.

If Kobe can bounce back so can Tiger -- and alot easier to boot.

I disagree NBA = thugs and thug followers. PGA = professional people who wont tolerate Tiger or his nonsense. Gatorade has already pulled his product. More to follow. He blew it man beautiful wife, money, stardom for a piece of ass.

No, I think he's just starting. He will pay a 300 miliion dollar get out of jail fee and make 10 times that playing golf and banging the hottest broads available for the next 20 years. Tiger's WOOD will play again.

If that happens I hope his wife dumps his sorry ass.

Hes DONE

He's not done. If Kobe Bryant can rebound from raping chicks and Ray Lewis can rally after lying about murder, then Tiger Woods can sure as hell get back into the swing of things after crushing a few hookers and pornstars without condoms. This is nothing. Win a few more majors, keep a low profile, and nobody cares about this 4-5 years from now.

Tiger into Ambien, i must admit i tried it and fell asleep, woke up and chick took off

THE growing list of Tiger Woods' mistresses could be overshadowed by an even sadder scandal - one of the world's great athletes may have been battling a fascination with drugs for years.

As new dramas engulfed Woods and his family yesterday, more evidence emerged that at least some of his extra-marital adventures with a series of nightclub hostesses and porn stars were fuelled by more than lust.

The drug Ambien has now been named by more than one of the women as being a key part of their liaisons with Woods.

Ambien, a sedative, also produces strange side-effects in some people and is lauded as an underground aphrodisiac. In Australia the drug is marketed as Stilnox, a sleeping pill linked to several cases of sleepwalking, sleep-driving and post-sleep amnesia.

Rachel Uchitel, the first of Woods' mistresses to be revealed, has already been reported as boasting of his sexual performance while taking Ambien. Yesterday, several news websites named at least two of his so-far anonymous mistresses as enthusiastic users of the drug.

Ambien was one of two drugs wife Elin Nordergren handed to paramedics after Woods' car accident of the week before last which eventually led to the revelations of his philandering. The second drug was Vicodin, a pain killer. Combining the two, particularly with alcohol, produces an artificial high.

I could not disagree more.

Have you seen the country's divorce rate?

How many CEOs of these top billion dollar companies are on there 2nd or later wife?

He will take it hit in the wallet like Kobe. He will rebound like Kobe. Kobe is now 2nd in endorsements behind only Lebron. Seeing there is no golfer on Tiger's par, someone will approach him after this dies down.

Now his game will take a hit....

Meanwhile The Sun today revealed that Woods is ready to quit golf in a desperate bid to save his shattered marriage.

He told Elin he "will do anything". And she has agreed to stay with the star for the sake of their two young children.

But she has given him the stark ultimatum: "It's golf... or me."

Elin has drawn up a strict list of rules for the world Number One to follow if he wants to win her back.

And the beauty, who would pocket up to $100million if she walks away, is insisting he puts their marriage and two kids before his golf career.

A friend said: "The easy thing for Elin to do would be leave him, take the children and get a divorce. She'd never worry about money again.

"She was close to walking out for good. She decided to stay for the kids' sake - but on her terms.

"They have agreed to try and rebuild their marriage, but Elin will be the one calling the shots. It will be a long time before he's travelling the globe playing golf unless Elin's by his side.

"Tiger will have to work long and hard to get her to trust him again. Quitting golf shows he is willing to sacrifice something he loves so much to protect his family."

It was understood Elin has refused to let Woods tour until he regained her trust - or until daughter Sam, two, and ten-month-old son Charlie were old enough to tag along with them.

I would think TW will never see another BJ (at least with wifey)

I've rarely seen it work when a couple stays together for " the sake of the kids". He's cooked.

12/11/2009 Tiger Woods taking hiatus from golf

By Tiger Woods

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.
