It's from PFT so take it with a grain of salt, but looks like Woody might just get his top choice.

That story is riddled with deft research.

Seriously. That's some concrete stuff right there.

Although I will say, I would be happy if that's how things turned out for the Jets.
TL;DR amirite?

Over/Under on how many go with a "Jets gamble on Gamble" tag line if this hire happens?

I like the last line in the article:

"None of these moves are, you know, 95-percent certain. It’s simply where it all is leaning."

I like Gamble and am glad we are focusing on a strong personnel guy. He has been around 24 years so he is no flash in the pan or flavor of the month. On the flip side, he isn't a re-tread. This is probably the right hire at the right time for all parties concerned.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Here's the problem:
-He's done the job before. (we always hire first-timers into these positions)
-People have heard of him. (see note above)

At some point the jets will announce, with much fanfare, the thrilling promotion of Timmy the bathroom cologne attendant.

Sorry, I was referring to hires that lasted more than 10 minutes.
