SMC
Dimitroff is still the GM of the Falcons. He would not want any part of the Rex Ryan circus. I would agree with this, but the Falcons are the best fit for him from his perspective because they have a good offense in place. Plus, Brees is getting old in that division. Rather face an old Brees twice than Rodgers twice a year.

56mehl56
Okay, but I'm telling you right now that (a lot) of people around the league think Rex is a good head coach. Seriously , do they think he's a good HC or a good DC because contrary to what we've heard for 6 years there's a difference.

bergenjets
anyone who is surprised by this news is not in touch with the NFL HC market. There's tons of demand, very little supply. Yep.
Warfish
Okay, but I'm telling you right now that (a lot) of people around the league think Rex is a good head coach. You're probably right. Look how much deep love and devotion he has created amongst Jet Fans, after all, a notoriously fickle and disloyal lot. We'll see. If he is everything his fans claim, he will be a favorite to win a title in either San Fran (a title worthy roster) or Atlanta (a title worthy O in need of Defensive Coaching only). In either case, I wish him well, glad he's gone, glad he'll be in the NFC where I won;t have to actively root against him every week.

SMC
Any one of them willing to bet their career on it?There is an actual anti-Jet bias in the NFL when it comes to talent. There's a belief that the Jets somehow make coaches or players worse and they'll improve as soon as they go elsewhere. We've seen it from Herm to Sanchez. section314
Interesting. Blank has expressed interest, but "others involved in the process" want no part, which would be Dimitroff. This is what Rex will face. No way a GM is risking his career on this loser unless the owner pulls rank. You mean kinda like the gig Rex was just fired from? jack48
If Rex can bring in a few good FA's and coach up the D at ATL, he'll have a winning team. Probably. But he had one here the first few years. I feel like whatever happens it will go to sh*t before long with Rex.
T0mShane
How about this, I'll bet you that Rex Ryan wins more games as the Falcons head coach than the Jets win next year? I'll bet you he's under .500 in his third year at whatever job he takes.

Herm did super duper in KC before they dumped him And Suckchez was a magnificent 4-4 taking over a 6-2 team fighting for playoff HFA and knocking them completely out of contention Good examples

LouisvilleSlugger25
If people have seen his work over the years and still interview him, he will get a job. He is probably amazing during the interview process and is easy to fall in love with. Perfect fit for Atlanta.

You're right. 190 yards passing, 0 TDs, and a 78.9 QB rating. He sure had a lot of trouble defending Brees. Come back when you know what you're talking about. detectivekimble
Perfect for Rex to run his ground and pound. Could you imagine him trying to do that in ATL? He can't throw the ball, though. He's inaccurate, has a huge hitch in his delivery, no touch. I would hope that Rex would want to hitch his wagon to a real QB this time around. BigRy56
Of course he does. He's a good head coach and he's a perfect fit for Chicago and Atlanta. Anybody who didn't think this would happen is blind.

jetrider
Rex is a great HC until his shtick wears thin after a couple seasons. SF should know better after the Jim Harbaugh experience.
DRJETS
Per Mahish Mehta Gotta be Atl and Chi. Either one would be a great fit, Atlanta better for him, but Chicago is his dream job. But the Rex's haters were having a party because there was no news regarding Rex drawing an interview. Less than 24 hour after being fired. He got TWO today, you got to be kidding. Are Rex's haters going to picket over this? Stay tune for their hatred.
AFJF
Per Manish Mehta means it could be total nonsense. He makes it up every day. Why would this be any different? Teams might be kicking Ryan's tires to blow sunshine up his posterior in order to see if he will be a DC. Reported/confirmed by multiple sources now.
