kevinc855
I asked my wife out of curiosity when our last pick 6 and both of us, diehards who watch it all, couldn't remember. Cimini today just wrote in his blog the last time was October 20th, 2013 when Antonio Allen picked off Brady and took it to the house. That is the longest draught in the NFL, even the SAINTS have had one. That's just pathetic and alarming.

I think we've scored one or two safeties in that time, but no INT or fumble returns.

Safety, pick 6, fumble for a TD....etc. Jets defenses do not put points on the board. The more successful teams in the league usually score in all three phases of the game

We never really had both at the same time.

We have already given up 2 defensive scores and 1 ST score in hte last two weeks, and haven't gotten one for ourselves in nearly 3 years. Time to step it up. Joe W. Namath
The jets dont have the speed to get to the ball. Our def is traditionally big, lumbering guys who stop the run but can do little else. That is changing w/ the likes of darren lee etc.. But it will take a few years to get the speed guys in place. AFJF
So depressing....with all the pick-6's we've had to live through, you kinda forget it doesn't happen several times a year to every single team. Would love to know how many pick-6's the Jets have had over the last ten years as opposed to how many they've allowed.

BigRy56
I hate this stat. The Jets need to make offenses turn the football over and turn that into points. We ARE a top 5/top 10 defense... but you can't be top 3 and elite unless you force some turnovers. That's the jump this defense has to make. I agree with you. We have a nice defense, consider that with 8 turnovers in the Chiefs game, the defense only gave up 10 points. It has many strong atributes, but to date, it has not caused many turnovers or points. Hopefully it will moving forward.
